Sherman Police


Walking on highway with traffic — Officers responded on May 7 to a disturbance in the 500 block of South First Street. Officers had responded multiple times over the previous few days to disturbances involving a male suspect. The suspect was observed walking on the roadway, committing a violation and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Grayson County Jail.


Theft — The public safety administrator made contact on May 7 with a male reporting party in reference to a theft in the 800 block of North Creek Drive. The complainant stated that three male suspects entered the location and stole property. A report for theft was generated.


Credit/debit card abuse — The public safety administrator made contact on May 8 with a male complainant in reference to fraud. The complainant stated that a known female suspect accessed his account without permission. A report was generated for fraud.


Driving while license invalid — Officers conducted a traffic stop on May 8 in the 1200 block of South U.S. Highway 75. The male driver had a suspended license with previous convictions. He was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.


Burglary of a habitation — Dispatch received a call on May 8 from a male reporting party in the 700 block of North Willow Street. The complainant stated that his house had been broken into and that several electronic items and DVDs were missing. A report for burglary of a habitation was completed.


Theft of a firearm — Officers were dispatched on May 9 to the 500 block of North Highland Avenue in reference to the burglary of a vehicle. They were informed that a vehicle that had been left unlocked was broken into. Several items were taken from inside the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.


Assault — Officers responded on May 9 to the report of an assault in the 700 block of South Elm Street. Upon their arrival, the male suspect was on the scene, but the female victim was no longer there. The victim was called, and she claimed she was chest bumped by her boyfriend, but it did not cause her pain. An offense report was generated for assault by contact family violence.


Possession — Officers on a bike patrol stopped a cyclist on May 9 for a traffic violation in the 300 block of West Lake Street. The male suspect was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested, and a report was filed for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one ounce.


Denison Police


Theft —A male victim stated on May 11 that someone stole some scrap aluminum off of a trailer behind his business in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. Officers will be following up on leads.


Suspicious person — Officers responded on May 11 to a call reporting a suspicious person in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 North. A female suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.


Theft — A male victim stated on May 11 that an unknown suspect(s) stole the tailgate off of his pickup in the 700 block of U.S. Highway 75 North.


Suspicious person — Officers responded on May 11 to a call reporting a suspicious person in the 1600 block of South Austin. A male suspect was arrested for outstanding city of Denison warrants and possession of a controlled substance.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on May 11 to the 300 block of West Morton in reference to a disturbance. The female victim stated that she was assaulted by her juvenile child by being kicked in the knee. The juvenile was taken into custody for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.


Public intoxication — An officer observed a male on May 11 who was stumbling around in some grass off the roadway in the 1600 block of South Chandler. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Theft — A complainant reported on May 11 that an unknown suspect(s) stole all four wheels off a new vehicle in the 2900 block of Eisenhower Parkway.


Theft — A male victim stated on May 11 that a television was missing along with some CDs and BluRay discs, after a tenant moved out of his residence in the 100 block of East Heron. The investigation will continue.


Suspicious person — Officers responded on May 11 to a suspicious person in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 North. The suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Burglary of a habitation — A male victim stated on May 14 that someone stole a television from a bedroom in his residence in the 300 block of West Hull. Officers will be following up on leads.


Theft of a firearm — A male victim stated on May 14 that someone stole a handgun from his residence in the 100 block of Bob White Road. Officers will be following up on leads.


Stolen vehicle — A victim stated on May 14 that an unknown suspect(s) stole a 2002 GMC crew cab pickup, burgundy in color, from a local car lot.
