Fannin County saw 1,735 voters cast ballots in this week’s Republican primary and 198 vote in the Democratic primary.


For the Republican primary County Commissioner Precinct 2 runoff, the winner was A.J. Self with 427 votes, which amounted to 55 percent of the votes cast. Keith Mumaw received 346 votes in the race.


In Fannin County, there were 195 votes cast in the Democratic primary runoff. The governor nomination race saw Andrew White receive the most votes in the county, with 101 votes and 51 percent. Lupe Valdez received 94 votes, but won the runoff statewide.
