Denison Police


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on Mar. 18 to the report of a hit and run accident occurring on Austin Avenue, with the victim following the suspect. An officer made contact with the parties in the 5000 block of South Fannin Street Road. A male suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated third or more.


Burglary — A male victim reported on Mar. 19 that a suspect entered his possibly unlocked vehicle in the 1200 block of West Walker and stole a .22 caliber rifle.


Assault — A female victim reported on Mar. 19 that she took a relative to an individual’s residence in the 1700 block of West Bond. She stated that she was assaulted by a female in the residence who threw her onto a bed and struck her in the face. A case was forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office, and the investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Mar. 19 to the report of a suspicious person in the 1300 block of South 5th. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Mar. 20 to the report of a person knocking of the door of homes in the 300 block of East Heron. A female suspect was arrested public intoxication.


Assault — A female victim stated on Mar. 20 that she was assaulted by her boyfriend in the 2600 block of Brookhaven Drive over a dispute about relationships. She stated that he pulled her hair, punched her in the face, knocked her down, kicked her and then left the scene. The suspect later returned to the scene and spoke to officers. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Burglary — A complainant stated on Mar. 20 that a suspect entered a building through a wall in the 3900 block of Texoma Parkway and removed numerous power equipment items and tools.


Burglary — A female victim stated on Mar. 20 that a suspect entered her possibly unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of Ridgewood and removed her purse and its contents.


Disturbance — Officers responded on Mar. 21 to the report of a disturbance in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 South. A female suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.


Burglary — A male victim stated on Mar. 21 that a suspect entered his unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of West Parnell and removed some change and a handgun.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Mar. 21 to the report of a man sitting in a vehicle in the caller’s driveway in the 1700 block of West Crawford. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Disturbance — Officers responded on Mar. 22 to a disturbance in the parking lot of a business in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Stolen vehicle — A female victim stated on Mar. 22 that a suspect took her 2007 Pontiac Vibe from her driveway in the 1300 block of West Crawford. She named a possible suspect. The vehicle was later recovered by the Achille (Oklahoma) Police Department and was towed by a towing service out of Durant. The investigation will continue.


Stolen vehicle — A victim stated on Mar. 22 that a suspect stole a 2005 Ford F-250 pickup, white in color, from a used vehicle lot in the 800 block of South Crockett.


Burglary — A female victim reported on Mar. 22 that a suspect entered her locked vehicle (no force found) and removed a wallet, debit card and other personal items.


Sherman Police


Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Mar. 8 to the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway in response to a reported assault. Upon their arrival, the parties involved in the assault were not located. A male, who was not a party to the assault, was located and found to be extremely intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.


Assault — An officer responded on Mar. 15 to a victim in the 2100 block of North Duke Drive in reference to a possible assault. The victim had sustained visible injuries and was transported to Texoma Medical Center. A report for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
