Assault — A male victim reported on Mar. 5 that he was assaulted by his girlfriend by being slapped, scratched and having his clothes ripped. The female suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Burglary of a vehicle — Complainants stated on Mar. 5 that their vehicles were burglarized while they were left at a repair shop in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. No suspects have been identified at this time.
Theft — A male complainant reported on Mar. 5 that cash was missing from his residence in the 3800 block of Texoma Parkway. He named a possible suspect.
Assault — An officer responded on Mar. 5 to a female complainant in the 100 block of South Mirick. She stated that a female suspect came to her residence and struck her in the back several times. The case has been referred to municipal court.
Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Mar. 5 to the report of a possible assault in the 800 block of West Chestnut. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on Mar. 8 to the report of a suspicious person in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 South. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Criminal trespass — Officers responded on Mar. 8 to the report of a man who would not leave the premises in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 South. The male suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.
Theft — A female complainant reported on Mar. 8 that her daughter’s cellphone was taken from her daughter’s locker room at school in the 1900 block of South Mirick. No suspects have been named.
Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mar. 4 in the 2200 block of Texoma Parkway. The male driver was found to have an outstanding warrant from Collin County and to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Mar. 4 to the 800 block of North East Street in reference to an intoxicated person. Upon arrival, they found a male suspect to be highly intoxicated in public. It was determined that the suspect was a danger to himself and others, and he was arrested for public intoxication.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mar. 4 in the 1300 block of North Grand Avenue. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Harassment — Officers responded on Mar. 4 to a disturbance in the 500 block of Patricia Drive. Upon arrival, they spoke with all parties involved and a report for harassment was completed.
Failure to identify — Dispatch received a call on Mar. 5 reporting a criminal trespass in the 2700 block of North U.S. Highway 75. Officers responded and spoke with the male suspect, who lied about his name. The suspect was arrested for failure to identify and giving false/fictitious information.
Possession —Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mar. 6 in the 100 block of East Washington Street. They could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officers searched the vehicle and found marijuana. A report was generated.
Theft — An officer responded on Mar. 8 to a complainant in the 1200 block of East Lamar Street in reference to a theft. The owner’s bicycle was stolen from his yard. A report for theft from $100-$750 was generated.
Burglary — An officer was dispatched on Mar. 8 in reference to a burglary in the 400 block of East Kansas Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that the residence had been forcibly broken into. Three firearms were missing from the residence. A report for burglary of a habitation was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
Missing person — Officers were dispatched on Mar. 8 to the 1200 block of East Chaffin Street in reference to a missing person. An adult in the household left in a vehicle and had not returned in a considerable amount of time. The officers gathered information and searched the area. The individual returned home later that evening.
