Sherman Police


Harassment — An officer was dispatched on Feb. 28 to the 300 block of South Travis Street in reference to harassment. Upon arrival, it was found that the victim’s ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend sent the victim an unwanted explicit sex video. A report was made for harassment. The investigation is ongoing.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on Feb. 28 to the 2500 block of Shoreline Drive in reference to an assault. They conducted an investigation and determined that a female had been pushed by another resident in the household. A report for assault by contact-family member was generated.


Burglary — An officer was dispatched on Feb. 28 to the 600 block of East King Street in reference to a possible burglary. An investigation was conducted and a report for burglary of a habitation was generated.


Assault — Officers responded on March 3 to the report of an assault in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined that an assault occurred, with the suspect fleeing prior to officers’ arrival. No injuries were reported. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on March 3 to the 2100 block of North Duchess in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, they determined that multiple assaults had occurred. Reports for assault causing bodily injury/family violence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and injury to a child were generated.


Possession — An officer was dispatched on March 3 to the 3200 block of Sherbrook Place in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked in the area, which was occupied by two people. Upon arrival, the officer located two male suspects passed out in the vehicle with marijuana discovered between them. Both were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Burglary — An officer responded on March 3 to a complaint of property being stolen in the 500 block of South Glacier Drive. An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle without permission and removed property. A report for burglary of a habitation was completed.


Theft of a firearm — Officers were dispatched on March 3 to the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to an attempted theft. Upon arrival, they discovered that two male suspects had attempted to steal a firearm, but were unsuccessful. A report for the attempted theft was completed.


Assault — Officers responded on March 4 to the complaint of a possible assault taking place in the 800 block of South Walnut Street. Upon arrival, they arrested a male suspect for assault with a deadly weapon.


Denison Police


Prohibited weapon — An officer stopped a vehicle on Feb. 28 for a traffic violation in the 2700 block or West Morton. A suspect was arrested for outstanding city of Denison warrants and a prohibited weapon (knuckles).


Burglary of a vehicle— An officer responded on Feb. 28 to a female complainant in the 1000 block of West Baker. She stated that a suspect entered her vehicle and took a backpack. She also found a dent in her vehicle that wasn’t there before.


Assault by contact— A female complainant stated on Feb. 28 that her daughter was touched inappropriately by another student in the 100 block of Frank Circle. The case will be forwarded to Municipal Court.


Burglary — An officer responded on Feb. 28 to a female complainant in the 700 block of West Dubois. She stated that a suspect entered her residence and took a television and sound system, jewelry, computer, flashlights and some food items. Officers will be following up on leads.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on March 3 to the complaint of a call reporting an intoxicated person in the 4600 block of U.S. Highway 75. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on March 3 for a traffic violation in the 200 block of South Austin. A male suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on March 3 for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Lum Lane. A male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and for driving while license invalid/enhanced.


Assault — An officer responded on March 4 to a female complainant in the 200 block of Lay Lane. She stated that her husband assaulted her by pushing her to the ground and pushing her head down onto the ground. He also threw a mirror onto the bed causing the mirror to break and causing further injury to the victim. The male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.


Burglary — Officers responded on March 4 to the report of a burglary in progress at the intersection of Chandler and Bullock. Upon officers’ arrival, a vehicle leaving the location was observed. The male driver was arrested for no driver’s license and possession of a controlled substance. No evidence of the burglary could be located.
