Theft — A male complainant reported on Feb. 26 that a suspect stole a Coleman brand, black and red in color, go-kart from his backyard in the 200 block of East Monterey.
Theft — A complainant reported on Feb. 25 that a suspect stole two heat pumps from an outside HVAC system in the 700 block of West Elm.
Criminal mischief — A male complainant stated on Feb. 25 that a suspect damaged and flattened the four tires on his vehicle in the 2800 block of West Crawford.
Theft — A male complainant reported on Feb. 25 that his 1996 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from the driveway of his residence in the 500 block of Dean Drive.
Suspicious person — Officers responded on Feb. 25 to a call reporting a suspicious person inside a business in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The suspect was arrested for an outstanding Collin County warrant.
Assault — Two complainants stated on Feb. 25 that they were assaulted by a family member in the 800 block of West Day during a verbal altercation. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Neither victim required medical attention. The investigation will continue with a case being forwarded to the Grayson County Attorney’s Office.
Burglary — An officer responded on Feb. 26 to a female complainant in the 3400 block of FM 120 West. She stated that a suspect entered her business through a door and removed a television, iPad, cash, flat iron, hair clippers and trimmers. On Feb. 27 a Sherman Police Department officer stopped a vehicle and several of the items were recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft — A victim reported on Feb. 26 that a suspect stole a three gallon air compressor from underneath a carport in the 700 block of West Heron.
Counterfeit currency — A complainant stated on Feb. 26 that a suspect made a purchase in the 3300 block of West FM 120 with two bills that were later determined to be counterfeit.
Possession — A vehicle was stopped on Feb. 26 for a traffic violation in the 2400 block of South Austin. A female suspect was arrested for an outstanding Collin County warrant, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Burglary — Officers responded on Feb. 27 to the call of an intrusion alarm in the 2800 block of West Morton. They found a window broken out of a local pharmacy, with several bottles of medication reported missing. The investigation will continue.
Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched on Feb. 26 to the 315 block of South Loving Avenue in reference to criminal trespassing. A female suspect had entered a residence without permission and in violation of an eviction. She was arrested for criminal trespass and booked into the Grayson County Jail.
Assault — An individual entered the Sherman Police Department lobby on Feb. 25 and reported an assault. An officer conducted an investigation, which revealed that the father of the woman’s child assaulted the mother. A report for assault causing bodily injury to a family member was generated.
Burglary — Officers were dispatched on Feb. 25 to the 2000 block of North Loy Lake Road in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, they found forced entry, and their investigation revealed that property was missing. A report was filed for burglary of a building.
Theft — An officer responded on Feb. 26 to a male complainant in the 1100 block of South Montgomery Street. He stated that a suspect had taken his unlocked vehicle from the driveway of his residence. A report for theft from $2,500-$30,000 was completed, and the case will be forwarded to CID for further investigation.
Found property — An individual was given courtesy transport on Feb. 26. During the transport, the person left personal property in the patrol unit. A report was completed for found property.
Aggravated assault — Officers responded on Feb. 26 to a disturbance in the 800 block of North Travis Street. One of the parties involved claimed to have been assaulted with a knife. No evidence on the scene supported the male’s claim. A report for aggravated assault date/family/house with weapon was filed.
Possession — Officers located a stolen vehicle on Feb. 26 in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. The male passenger was found to be in possession of a glass pipe with methamphetamine inside it. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 less than one gram.
Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Feb. 27 in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. A female suspect was found to be in possession of several pills and methamphetamines. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 3 less than 28 grams and possession of a controlled substance PG 1 less than one gram.
Assault — An officer was dispatched on Feb. 28 to the 900 block of East Summit Street in reference to criminal trespass. Upon arrival, it was found that a female victim had been assaulted by her child’s father a week prior. A report was filed for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. The investigation is ongoing.
