Denison Police are searching for a man who robbed Landmark Bank on Monday morning.
Lt. Mike Eppler said at approximately 10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the bank, which is located next to Texoma Medical Center, along FM 691, upon receiving reports that the branch had been robbed.
“The information we have right now is that an older white male came into the bank,” Eppler said. “He was wearing some type of ski mask and also had glasses on on the outside of the mask. (He) said he wanted the money. As of yet, an undisclosed amount of money was given to him and he left out in a white passenger car — four door — and headed toward (U.S. Highway) 75.”
Citing the ongoing investigation, Eppler said he could not comment on whether the man was armed, but the Denison Police lieutenant said no one was injured in the incident. Eppler said investigators were still working to recover surveillance footage, but it was unclear whether the robbery was recorded by any cameras.
“We're still gathering information here at the bank and processing the scene and we'll be following up on information,” Eppler said.
Those with knowledge of the suspect's identity or the robbery are encouraged to call the Denison Police Department at 903-465-2422.
