Sherman Police


Theft of property — Officers responded on Jan. 30 to a call in the 1400 block of South Austin Street. Upon investigation, it was learned that a theft of a puppy had occurred. A report for theft of property was generated.


Theft of property — The public safety administrator responded on Jan. 30 to a female complainant in the 3200 block of North Rex Cruse Drive. She stated that a satellite dish was stolen from her yard.


Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on Jan. 31 in the 5600 block of Texoma Parkway. The male driver was suspected of being intoxicated. After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest.


Striking fixture/highway landscape — An officer responded on Jan. 31 to a call reporting a one vehicle accident in the 700 block of East Taylor Street. Upon officer arrival, the vehicle was found abandoned and secured. The vehicle was removed from the roadway and a report on the accident was filed.


Denison Police


Assault causing bodily injury — A female complainant reported on Feb. 1 that a female suspect assaulted her in the 1300 block of Fannin. The suspect stated that complainant assaulted her instead. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Theft — Officers responded on Feb. 1 to a call reporting a suspicious person in the 3300 block of FM 120 West. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication and theft of less than $2,500 with two or more convictions. The suspect was found to be in possession of property that was taken from a local store.


Criminal mischief — A complainant reported on Feb. 2 that a suspect damaged a door and broke out a window at a vacant residence in the 1100 block of West Morton.


Fraud — An officer responded on Feb. 2 to a female complainant in the 1100 block of Little Creek Drive. She stated that a suspect used her personal information to redeem points on a credit card. The department will be following leads.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on Feb. 2 for a traffic violation in the 300 block of East Sears. A suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Driving while intoxicated — A vehicle was stopped on Feb. 2 for a traffic violation in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated with open container.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Feb. 3 to a call reporting a male walking in the roadway in the 700 block of South Austin. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Feb. 3 to the report of a man acting strangely in the 100 block of North Lum Lane. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Possession — An officer observed a man on Feb. 4 sitting in front of a closed business in the 800 block of South Armstrong. The suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on Feb. 4 to the call of an erratic driver in the 3300 block of U.S. Hwy. 75. The female suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated with open container.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on Feb. 4 to the 4400 block of North U.S. Hwy. 75 in response to a motor vehicle accident. A male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Feb. 4 to the report of an intoxicated person in the 4900 block of Texoma Parkway. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary of a habitation — A male complainant reported on Feb. 4 that his ex-girlfriend knocked on his front door, and when he wouldn’t let her in, she forced her way in, took some of his property and then left. The investigation will continue.
