Denison Police


Possession — A bicyclist was stopped on Jan. 29 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of North Brown. The male rider was arrested for an outstanding City of Denison warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.


Assault causing bodily injury — A female complainant reported on Jan. 29 that someone knocked on the door of her residence in the 600 block of East Main. She stated that when she answered the door, a male she knows was at the door. She tried to shut the door, but the suspect came into the residence and pushed her down, causing minor injuries. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County Attorney’s Office.


Theft — A male complainant reported on Jan. 29 that a suspect stole two jack stands and a receiver hitch from the back of his truck in the 400 block of East Sears. Officers are following up on leads.


Criminal mischief — An officer responded on Jan. 29 to a female complainant in the 700 block of West Hanna. She stated that someone flattened all four tires on her vehicle and possibly put sugar into her gas tank. She named a possible suspect. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Jan. 29 to the report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal mischief — A complainant reported on Jan. 30 that he saw a male ducking down below an outside air conditioning unit in the 600 block of East Woodard. The electrical cord on the unit was found to be cut. The suspect has not been identified.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on Jan. 31 for a traffic violation at the intersection of U.S. Highways 69 and 75. The male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on Jan. 31 to the call of a motor vehicle accident in the 3300 block of FM 120. A female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Burglary of a vehicle — A complainant stated on Jan. 31 that an unknown suspect entered a locked vehicle in the 700 block of West Dubois and removed cash and electronics.


Sherman Police


Found property — Officers received found property on Jan. 28 in the lobby of the Sherman Police Department. After collecting the property, they completed a report for found property.


Burglary of a habitation — Officers responded on Jan. 28 to the report of a theft in the 700 block of South Maxey Street. It was reported that lawn equipment was removed from an enclosed porch of a residence. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated.


Theft of property — Officers were dispatched on Jan. 28 to the 2000 block of South Crockett Street in response to a theft. Upon arrival, they learned that multiple individuals had entered a store and taken cases of beer without paying for them. A report for theft of property was filed.


Found property — Dispatch was contacted on Jan. 28 in reference to found property in the 1100 block of East King Street. An officer was sent to collect the property, and a report for found property was generated.


Missing persons — Dispatch received a call on Jan. 28 from a female in the 1900 block of West Taylor Street. She reported that her husband was missing and that she had not seen or heard from him since the day before. A missing persons report was filed and the investigation is ongoing.


Unauthorized use of a vehicle — Dispatch received a call on Jan. 28 from a female complainant reporting a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of North Grant Drive. She stated that a family member had taken her vehicle without permission.


Aggravated assault — Officers were dispatched on Jan. 28 to the 500 block of North Highland Avenue in reference to a possible assault. They spoke with the female victim who said she was assaulted 24 hours prior. However, the victim would not give any information about the incident or who was involved. A report for aggravated assault was completed.


Found property — Officers were dispatched on Jan. 29 to the 3200 block of Bordeaux Street in reference to found property. They recovered a purse containing miscellaneous items and filed a report for found property.


Assault — Officers responded on Jan. 29 to the report of an assault in the 1300 block of McCall Street. Upon arrival, they learned that two family members had gotten into a physical altercation. No parties involved were seriously injured. A report for assault was filed.


Criminal trespass — Officers were dispatched on Jan. 30 to the 600 block of North Kessler in response to a complaint of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was learned that a neighbor had trespassed on property after having been warned not to do so. A report for criminal trespass was generated.


Criminal mischief — The public safety administrator made contact on Jan. 30 with a female complainant in the 1800 block of Park Place. She stated that a suspect damaged her vehicle. A report for criminal mischief was filed.
