Denison Police have identified the man who died following a reported stabbing over the weekend.
In an emailed statement released Sunday, Lt. Mike Eppler said Lucio Alejandro Tello, 37, of Arlington was pronounced dead after he was transported to an area hospital early Saturday. Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a call of a stabbing at a home in the 400 block of West Walker Street, where paramedics found Tello.
“There’s nothing else that I can really release on particulars right now,” Eppler said Monday. “It is still under investigation.”
No arrests have been announced in connection with Tello’s death, but Eppler said the public should not be alarmed.
“There’s no imminent danger to the public in regard to this,” Eppler said.
The Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation.
