Authorties have safely removed a juvenile female from the exterior of the pedistraian bridge near Rusk Avenue in Sherman. Sherman police spokesman Sgt. Brett Mullens said the teenager refused to come down.

UPDATE, 11:50 A.M.: Mullen said the incident was called in to the police department by an off-duty officer working at Piner Middle School at 10:58 a.m. The officer said a juvenile was climbing the catwalk. The situation was resolved at 11:14 a.m. The highway was shutdown for safety precautions, Mullen said.

School personnel confirmed that it was a Piner student and she was at school on Wednesday. School personnel and campus resource officers responded to the incident and it was resolved quickly with no injury to the student or anyone else involved.

Police on the scene said they couldn't provide additional details about the incident since it involved a juvenile. Witnesses said the girl was hanging on the exterior of the pedistrian walkway that is covered by chainlink.
