Denison Police


Stolen vehicle — A female complainant stated on Dec. 30 that she left her vehicle at a residence in the 300 block of East Day. When she returned to get it, it was missing. She named a possible suspect. The vehicle was later reported to be used in an incident in McKinney. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Dec. 29 to a call of an intoxicated person in the 500 block of Marcel. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal Trespass — A complainant stated on Dec. 29 that a male suspect was on the property in the 600 block of East Main. The suspect had previously been given a warning to not be on the property. He was arrested for criminal trespass.


Disturbance — Officers responded on Dec. 29 to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of South Austin. The female victim stated she got into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend that turned physical. She stated she was assaulted by being hit in the face and head and then all over her body. She was also thrown to the ground and kicked. The male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Assault — Officers responded on Dec. 30 to a report of assault in the 200 block of South Austin. The male suspect was located inside a vehicle at that location and was arrested for resisting arrest, possession of marijuana less than two ounces, public intoxication,and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Assault causing bodily injury — A female victim reported on Dec. 30 that she was assaulted by her boyfriend who slapped her, threw her down, choked her and threatened to kill her. A case will be sent to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Driving while intoxicated — A vehicle was stopped on Dec. 31 for a traffic violation in the 600 block of South Austin. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Unauthorized use of vehicle — A female complainant stated on Jan. 2 that a relative took her vehicle from the 100 block of West Bond without permission. Later, a Sherman Police officer stopped the vehicle. A male suspect was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.


Theft — A complainant stated on Jan. 2 that a suspect stole a 12 foot V-front trailer from the 400 block of West Coffin. The trailer had numerous cabinets inside.


Assault causing bodily injury — A female victim reported on Jan. 2 that her boyfriend assaulted her in the 300 block of West Bond by slamming her face into his face, causing injury. He also punched her with a closed fist. A case will be sent to the Grayson County Attorney’s office.


Stolen vehicle — An officer stopped a vehicle on Jan. 2 for a traffic violation in the 2300 block of South Fannin. A male suspect was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle less than $30,000 and failure to identify/giving false/fictitious information.


Sherman Police


Theft — An officer was dispatched on Jan. 4 to the 800 block of South Throckmorton Street in reference to a theft. A male complainant reported that a female suspect stole money from his wallet. A report for theft was generated.


Assault by contact — Officers responded on Jan. 4 to a report of assault in the 3600 block of North U.S. Highway 75. A male victim stated that a suspect pushed him to the ground. The suspect left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. A report for assault by contact was generated.


Assault with deadly weapon — Officers responded on Jan. 4 to a report of assault from a nurse in the emergency room of Texoma Medical Center. She stated that the assault had occurred in the 800 block of South Mirick in Denison, and that the victim was in the lobby of the emergency room. Officers arrived and determined that an assault had occurred. A report for aggravated assault was generated.
