Assault peace officer/judge — Officers responded on Dec. 25 to a disturbance in the 900 block of South Willow Street. While investigating the disturbance, a female suspect interfered with public duties and assaulted a peace officer. She was arrested for interference with public duties and resisting arrest, search or transport and assault peace officer/judge.
Fleeing police officer — An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Dec. 24 for an insurance violation. The refused to stop and fled for 4-6 blocks. The male driver stopped in the 1900 block of East Lewis Street and fled the vehicle on foot. He was subsequently caught and arrested. He was charged with a warrant for theft of property, driving while license invalid, fleeing police officer, and evading arrest/detention.
Burglary of vehicle — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 24 to the 1300 block of East Jones Street in reference to the burglary of a vehicle. Their investigation revealed that items had been taken from an unlocked vehicle. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.
Criminal mischief — Officers responded on Dec. 24 to the complaint of criminal mischief in the 300 block of North Chisholm Trail. They investigated and found that a mailbox had been damaged. A report for criminal mischief less that $100 was generated.
Reckless damage — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 24 to the 3600 block of Steeple Chase Drive in reference to a possible hit and run. Their investigation revealed that a vehicle had suffered damage, and a report for reckless damage was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — A citizen reported a driver on Dec. 25 who appeared to be intoxicated in the 100 block of North McKown Avenue. Officers located and stopped the vehicle. The male driver showed signs of being intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Assault causing bodily injury family member — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 26 to the 700 block of South Andrews Avenue in reference to a possible assault. They were advised that a live-in boyfriend had assaulted the victim. A report for assault causing bodily injury family member was generated.
Possession marijuana — Officers stopped a vehicle on Dec. 26 for defective equipment in the 100 block of East Mulberry Street. They located marijuana on the driver of the vehicle and arrested the driver for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Dec. 28 for multiple violations at the intersection of Crockett and Shepherd. The male driver was arrested for outstanding Denton County and Collin County warrants and failure to identify/fugitive from justice. A female passenger was arrested for outstanding City of Denison warrants.
Assault causing bodily injury/family violence — A female victim reported on Dec. 28 that her boyfriend was intoxicated and assaulted her multiple times in the 400 block of Mundt Drive. He then left the residence in her vehicle. He later returned and assaulted her again and took her bank card and used it at a local business. A report was filed for assault causing bodily injury/family member, interference with an emergency call and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.
Burglary of a building — A male complainant reported on Dec. 28 that a fence on his property in the 5800 block of U.S. Highway 75 had been cut and that a vehicle was located inside a building. There have been numerous thefts of copper at this facility in the past. The investigation will continue.
Criminal mischief — A complainant stated on Dec. 28 that a suspect broke out a window in her vehicle with a rock in the 900 block of South Crockett.
