One man was injured Tuesday afternoon when his truck went through the guardrail on U.S. Highway 75 North near the intersection with U.S. Highway 82.

Sherman Police Sgt. Kevin Garbacik said the truck ran through the guardrail for the Hwy. 75 overpass over Hwy. 82 at 4:16 p.m. Garbacik said investigators don't yet know what caused the man to hit the guardrail but when he did, the truck went through it and flipped over. It then went down the embankment and landed on the service road below.

The man, who has yet to be identified, had to be cut free from the truck. Garbacik said the man's injuries were serious but did not appear to be life threatening. The injured man was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

No one else was injured in the incident, however, the guardrail did strike another man after it had been hit, Garbacik said.

In addition to the Sherman Police Department, first responders with Sherman Fire-Rescue were also on hand at the site of the flipped vehicle.
