Denison Police made an arrest Friday night in the homicide investigation into the death of Kyle Williams. Denison Police issued a statement saying Manuel Wise was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. Friday at a Motel Six in Sherman.

The statement said Wise, for whom an arrest warrant had been issued earlier that evening, was found hiding in a bathroom. Wise originally gave officers the name of a relative who also had an outstanding arrest warrant. During the booking process, officers determined the man they had in custody was actually Wise. In addition to the warrant on the murder charge, Wise was booked on three other outstanding Grayson County warrants.

Police found Kyle Williams deceased Thursday morning at the Tower Homes in Denison. He appeared to have been shot to death. His body was sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler said Tower Homes is run by the Denison Housing Authority and it is unusual for the department to receive calls for assistance from the complex and its residents. The Texas Rangers have been called in to help with the investigation.
