A warrant as been issued by the Denison Police Department for Manuel Miguel Wise charging him with the murder of Matthew Kyle Williams. On Friday morning police identified Williams, 35, of Denison as the man found dead on Thursday at 9 Tower Lane.
DPD Lt. Mike Eppler said the department is not ready to release details regarding the investigation. The suspect was identified through information gathered during the investigation thus far, Eppler said.
Wise’s exact location is unknown, but he has been known to spend time in the Bryan County area. Wise should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information regarding Wise’s location, the Denison Police Department have asked it to be reported to them at 903-465-2422.
The cause of Williams’ death was determined to be gunshot.
“Mr. Williams was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy,” said Eppler.
Previously published reports show that DPD was called to the Tower Homes at around 10:38 a.m. Thursday about a person found dead there. At the time, DPD was mum on why they thought the death might have been a homicide, but did say that no one had been arrested in connection to the death.
Eppler said Tower Homes is run by the Denison Housing Authority and that it is unusual for the department to receive calls for assistance from the complex and its residents. The Texas Rangers have been called in to help with the investigation.
