Assault causing bodily injury/family violence — Officers responded on Dec. 12 to a male complainant in the 500 block of West Coffin. He stated that a suspect assaulted a juvenile child by slapping her in the face, and then assaulted him by slapping him in the face as well. The suspect left prior to officers’ arrival. The case was forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office, and the investigation will continue.


Credit/debit card abuse — A complainant stated on Dec. 11 that a purchase was made at a local business with a card that was ultimately found to be from a closed account. The charges were charged back to the company, and the investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Dec. 11 to the call of a suspicious person refusing to leave a residence in the 1000 block of South Armstrong. The male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary of a vehicle — A complainant reported on Dec. 12 that a suspect entered her vehicle, possibly unlocked in the 1000 block of West Thatcher, and removed a coffee cup charger and some money.


Burglary of a vehicle — An officer responded on Dec. 12 to a female complainant in the 1200 block of Armstrong Circle. She stated that a suspect entered her vehicle, possibly unlocked, and removed a backpack, several notebooks, pay stubs and a diabetic monitor.


Stolen vehicle — A complainant reported on Dec. 12 that he left his keys inside a vehicle and went inside a convenience store in the 1200 block of Crawford. When he came out, his vehicle was missing. There are no suspects at this time.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Dec. 13 for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Vaughn Drive. The female driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.


Arson/burglary of a habitation — Officers responded on Dec. 13 to the call of a possible intruder in a residence in the 900 block of West Ford. Upon officers’ arrival, no one was inside the residence. However, someone had turned on the stove and oven and placed paper on the stove, creating a lot of soot inside the residence. Officers will be following up on leads.


Burglary of a habitation — A complainant reported on Dec. 13 that a suspect entered her residence in the 2500 block of Brookhaven Drive and removed a jug containing money.


Assault by threat — An officer responded on Dec. 13 to a male complainant in the 5000 block of U.S. Hwy. 75. He stated that someone he knows threatened him over an ongoing dispute. The case has been referred to municipal court.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Dec. 13 to a call of a welfare concern in the 100 block of Smith Drive. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal mischief — A complainant stated on Dec. 14 that gas pumps at two different stations in the 7000 block of West FM 120 were tampered with (utility door opened, lock broken and scrapes). There were no suspects at the time of the report.


Theft — A complainant reported on Dec. 14 that a suspect took a Rolex watch from his RV in the 4600 block of Texoma Parkway. Leads are being followed up on.


Person with a gun — Officers responded on Dec. 14 to the report of a man with a gun who had left the area walking. They knew the identity of the suspect and located him at a residence a few blocks away. Officers located a BB pistol in the suspect’s possessions. The suspect stated that he showed the pistol to a person he was arguing with. The investigation will continue.


Theft — A complainant stated on Dec. 14 that a suspect removed several items from their porch that had been ordered and delivered in the 400 block of Knob Lane.


Fraudulent use/possession of identifying information — A complainant reported on Dec. 14 that a suspect used her social security number to obtain credit cards and apply for unemployment benefits. The investigation will continue.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Dec. 14 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of South Austin. The female driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Dec. 19 for a traffic violation in the 400 block of West Munson. The male driver was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possesson of marijuana less than two ounces, and no operator’s license. A male passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Navarro County.


Pedestrian in the roadway — Officers responded on Dec. 17 to the complaint of a person walking in the roadway in the 1800 block of West Morton. A male suspect was arrested for pedistrian in the roadway.


Domestic disturbance — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 17 to the 1400 block of South Fannin in response to a domestic disturbance. It was reported that a man was threatening to kill his wife. A male suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence.
