Stolen vehicle — An officer was dispatched on Dec. 10 to the 1400 block of West Morton in reference to a stolen vehicle. The male complainant stated that he parked his vehicle at a convenience store and left his keys in a cup holder with the vehicle unlocked, while entering the store. A male suspect entered the vehicle and drove away, driving eastbound on Morton Street.
Burglary of a habitation — An officer responded on Dec. 8 to a female complainant in the 600 block of East Main. She stated that a relative’s boyfriend came to her residence and tried to make entry by kicking the door. The relative opened the door to keep it from being damaged, and the suspect entered the residence. He assaulted the complainant by slapping her face and knocking a telephone out of her hand. When he learned that police were en route, he fled the scene. A case will be presented to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.
Intoxicated person — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 8 to the 700 block of North U.S. Highway 75 in reference to an intoxicated person. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Disturbance — Officers responded on Dec. 8 to a disturbance call in the 2200 block of Loy Lake Road. The female complainant reported that she and her boyfriend got into a verbal altercation that became physical. She stated that he pushed her, causing her to fall and injure her head on a dresser. The male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Intoxicated person — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 9 to a hospital in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75. It was reported that an intoxicated person was being discharged. The female suspect was arrested for public intoxication and harassment of a public servant.
Stolen checks — A complainant reported on Dec. 9 from the 3800 block of Randell Lake Road that several books of checks were missing.
Suspicious persons — Officers responded on Dec. 9 to a report of suspicious persons inside a vehicle in the 1000 block of West Hannah. A female suspect was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest/transport and possession of drug paraphernalia. A second female suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on Dec. 9 to the 600 block of North U.S. Highway 75. It was reported that an erratic driver had been involved in a hit and run crash in Sherman. The male suspect was located and stopped in the parking lot of a local restaurant. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Disturbance — Officers responded on Dec. 10 to a disturbance call from the 2400 of West Walker. A male suspect was arrested for violation of a protective order.
Theft — An officer responded on Dec. 10 to a female complainant in the 600 block of Royal Ridge. She stated that a suspect stole an enclosed trailer, white in color, from her driveway.
