Theft of property — The Houston Police Department contacted Sherman Police on Nov. 27 to advise them of a stolen vehicle that was possibly in the 600 block of Graham Drive. An officer was dispatched to that location, where he located the vehicle and had it towed for safe keeping.
Possession of marijuana — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Nov. 27 in the 1300 block of North Grand Avenue. While conducting the traffic stop, they smelled the odor of marijuana and located marijuana in the purse of a passenger. The passenger had outstanding warrants from the Sherman Police Department and was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and for the warrants.
Found property — Dispatch received a call on Nov. 24 in reference to found property in the 1700 block of Brents Avenue. Officers responded and a go-cart was recovered. A report for found property was generated.
Burglary of a vehicle — Officers were dispatched on Nov. 24 to the 800 block of Cormorant Drive in reference to found property. They identified the owner of the property and discovered the property owner’s vehicle had been burglarized. Other property was found to have been stolen from the vehicle. A report for theft of property from $2,500-$30,000 was filed.
Burglary of a vehicle — An officer was dispatched on Nov. 24 to the 2400 block of Remuda Drive in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. A suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole property. A report for burglary of a motor vehicle was generated, and the case is under investigation.
Burglary of a building — Officers responded on Nov. 24 to a female complainant in the 400 block of Sycamore Street. She stated that multiple items were missing from her shed. A report for burglary of a building was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on Nov. 26 in the 200 block of South Walnut Street. The driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. An investigation was completed, and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Assault — An officer responded on Nov. 27 to a female victim in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. She stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, and she had multiple minor injuries. The suspect was located and arrested for assault on a family/household member with previous convictions.
