Criminal mischief — The public safety administrator responded on Nov. 15 to a female complainant in reference to criminal mischief. She stated that a suspect wrote vulgar words in ketchup on her vehicle. A report for criminal mischief was generated.
Assault causing bodily injury — An officer was dispatched on Nov. 15 to Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center to speak with a female. She claimed that she had been assaulted by her mother and father. The assault occurred in the 1100 block of South Walnut Street, and the victim had marks and injuries from the assault. A report for assault family violence was generated.
Assault by contact — An officer was dispatched on Nov. 15 to the 5700 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a physical altercation. The suspect fled before officers arrived. The suspect was identified and quickly found. A criminal trespass warning was issued to the suspect, and a report for assault by contact was filed.
Theft of property —The public safety administrator spoke with a male reporting party in the 800 block of East Odneal. The victim stated that a suspect took items from his place of business without any attempt to pay for them. A report for theft was filed.
Theft of property — The public safety administrator made contact on Nov. 15 with a female victim in reference to a theft. She reported that a suspect took property from her residence. A report for theft was generated.
Illegal dumping — The public safety administrator was contacted on Nov. 15 by a complainant in reference to illegal dumping. The complainant reported that garbage had been dumped into a creek in the 900 block of Music Street. A report for illegal dumping was filed.
Evading arrest/detention — A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations in the 400 block of Highway 69 East. Two passengers fled from the vehicle. One was a female who was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant, possession of marijuana less than two ounces, and evading arrest/detention. The other fleeing passenger was arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and evading arrest/detention. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.
Domestic disturbance — A female victim reported on Nov. 16 that a relative got angry at her for drinking in the 100 block of North 5th. She stated that the relative threw her to her knees twice and destroyed things inside the home while yelling and cursing at her. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.
Driving while license invalid — A vehicle was stopped on Nov. 16 for a traffic violation in the 2800 block of West Morton. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.
Public intoxication — An officer responded on Nov. 16 to the report of a person causing a disturbance. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — Officers responded to the report of a suspicious person in the 3300 block of Woodlawn. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Criminal trespass/criminal mischief — Denison Police and Denison Fire Rescue were dispatched on Nov. 18 to the call of a structure fire in a vacant building in the 2000 block of South Scullin. Upon arrival, it was determined there was no fire, but the building had been burglarized, with several fire extinguishers emptied into the building, causing the fire alarm to activate. One fire extinguisher was also thrown through a window. There are no suspects at this time.
Suspicious person — Officers responded on Nov. 18 to the call of a person jumping out in front of traffic in the 1400 block of South Austin. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest/search/transport.
Welfare concern — Officers observed on Nov. 20 a male suspect asleep in a vacant lot. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Possession of a controlled substance — A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of West Day. A male suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Identity theft — A victim reported on Nov. 21 in the 500 block of Summit Oaks Circle that a suspect made fraudulent use of their social security number to apply for social security benefits.
Assault by contact — A female complainant reported on Nov. 21 that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her while she was traveling in a vehicle in the 4600 block of Texoma Parkway. She stated that he slapped her in the face and hit her with a backpack. The case has been referred to Municipal Court.
Burglary of a vehicle — Complainant stated on Nov. 21 that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle in the 900 block of West Florence and took a wallet and handgun.
Public intoxication — An officer observed on Nov. 21 a man walking and being very unsteady on his feet. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Suspicious person — An officer observed on Nov. 21 a male suspect holding his hand out to flag him down. When the officer stopped, the suspect attempted to open the passenger side door of the vehicle and enter the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
