Burglary of a building/theft of vehicle — A complainant stated on Nov. 10 that a suspect removed the electric meter and cut the telephone lines at his business in the 800 block of South Crockett. The suspect then entered the business and removed a 2005 Mercedes Benz vehicle, shotgun, two pistols and car scanner. The vehicle was later recovered nearby, and leads are being followed.


Burglary of a building/theft of vehicle — A complainant stated on Nov. 11 that a suspect entered his business in the 400 block of West Woodard and removed the electric meter. The suspect then removed a 2001 Dodge pick-up, two firearms, a briefcase, cash, and and many other miscellaneous items.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Nov. 10 for a traffic violation in the 600 block of West Main. The female driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced.


Burglary of a building — A complainant reported on Nov. 10 that a suspect entered a business in the 300 block of West Day and removed a nail gun and box of screws.


Forgery — A female victim reported on Nov. 10 that a suspect stole her checkbook in the 2900 block of Rocky Lane and passed several checks in the area. The investigation will continue.


Suspicious person — An officer observed on Nov. 11 two men walking in the roadway in the 400 block of South Perry. A male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Nov. 10 for a traffic violation in the 1100 block of South Barrett. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.


Suspicious vehicle — An officer observed on Nov. 12 a vehicle with occupants parked outside a closed business in the 3300 block of South Woodlawn. A male suspect was arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant, resisting arrest, failure to identify/fugitive from justice/giving false/fictitious information and possession of a controlled substance.


Burglary of a building — Complainants reported on Nov. 12 that a suspect entered buildings at their two used car lots next door to each other in the 1900 block of South Austin and removed items.


Assault causing bodily injury/family violence — A female victim stated on Nov. 12 that a male suspect assaulted her by punching her in the nose and slapping her in the 300 block of Twining. He also grabbed her cellphone and damaged it. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation will continue, with the case being forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.


Terroristic threat — A female complainant reported on Nov. 13 that that her boyfriend became aggressive and made threats to harm her and their child in the 1800 block of Ridgewood. The suspect also damaged the victim’s cellphone. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.


Sherman Police


Theft of property — An officer was dispatched on Nov. 13 to a business in the 2500 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a stolen vehicle. It was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen and was involved in a pursuit in Oklahoma. The vehicle was recovered out of state, and a report for theft was generated.


Assault causing bodily injury — A female entered headquarters on Nov. 13 and reported that she had been assaulted in the 500 block of Evergreen Street. She stated that another female pulled her hair, hit her, and threw her to the ground. A report for assault causing bodily injury was completed.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Nov. 14 in the 4900 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The vehicle showed an unconfirmed insurance status along with expired registration. Officers spoke with the driver and conducted a standardized sobriety test. The driver was arrested and transported to Grayson County Jail. A report for driving while intoxicated was filed.


Burglary of a vehicle — The public safety administrator made contact on Nov. 14 with a male complainant in reference to the burglary of a vehicle in the 4100 block of Texoma Parkway. The complainant stated that while his vehicle was on the parking lot of a business from Nov. 3 to Nov. 10, a suspect broke into the vehicle and took miscellaneous items.


Theft of property — The public safety administrator responded on Nov. 14 to a female complainant in the 1600 block of North U.S. Highway 75. She stated that a suspect took the side mirror from her vehicle. A report for theft was generated.


Harassment — Dispatch received a call on Nov. 14 in reference to a person being harassed in the 800 block of South Maxey Street. The victim reported receiving numerous threatening messages from a suspect. A report for harassment was filed.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Nov. 14 in reference to an intoxicated person in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon officers’ arrival, the suspect was located in the parking lot of a business. The suspect was intoxicated and could not find a responsible and sober adult to take responsibility for him. He was arrested for public intoxication.
