The Grayson College board of trustees made a motion to approve the termination of a Health Sciences faculty member following an executive session at Thursday’s regularly scheduled meeting. The motion was approved unanimously with one board member abstaining.
The faculty member had been with the college for eight years. The former faculty member, who the college declined to name, was offered a public hearing but chose a closed hearing instead.
“Terminations are never easy,” Grayson College President Jeremy McMillan said. “The faculty member chose to keep the hearing in private. Out of respect to the faculty member, we have no further comment.”
