Sherman Police


Accident involving damage — Officers responded on Oct. 26 to a hit and run accident in the 1100 block of North Brents Avenue. Upon arrival, they conducted an investigation. Two reports were generated, one for the accident and the second for an accident involving damage.


Assault — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 25 about a possible assault at a residence in the 400 block of Arkansas Street. Officers responded and spoke to all parties involved. The investigation is ongoing.


Found property — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 25 to the 2600 block of North Loy Lake Road in reference to a report of found property. The property was collected for safe keeping and a report was filed.


Possession — Officers initiated a traffic stop on Oct. 26 in the 2100 block of Loy Lake Road. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended drivers license, no vehicle insurance and was in possession of marijuana. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Driving while license invalid — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Oct. 26 in the 1200 Block of North U.S. Highway 75. The driver had multiple city warrants and was driving with an invalid license. Officers arrested the suspect for driving with license invalid with previous convictions and showing no financial responsibility.


Burglary of a building — Dispatch received a burglar alarm call on Oct. 26 from the 3800 block of North Frisco Road, in reference to the office motion alarm going off. Officers arrived at the business and located a broken window. Upon entering the building, they found the office was in disarray. A report was generated for burglary of building.


Driving while license invalid — Officers initiated a traffic stop on October 26 in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended license and a previous conviction for driving while license invalid. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid with a previous conviction and local warrants.


Burglary of a motor vehicle — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 27 to the 800 block of West Ellis Street in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. They determined that someone forced their way into a truck and items of value were stolen. A report for burglary of a motor vehicle was generated.


Denison Police


Evading arrest — An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Oct. 24 for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Vaughn Drive. The driver failed to stop until reaching a residence on Vaughn Drive. He was arrested for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle with a prior conviction.


Public intoxication — Officers responded to a call on Oct. 24 in the 1700 block of West Crawford in reference to an intoxicated person riding a bicycle. The suspect was located and found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Traffic stop — An officer stopped a vehicle on Oct. 25 for a traffic violation in the 2400 block of West Morton. The man driving was arrested for driving while license invalid.


Public intoxication — Officers responded to a call on Oct. 25 of threats being made in the 300 block of West Main. A man was arrested for public intoxication.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Oct. 25 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of South Armstrong. The woman driving was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Burglary of a building — Officers responded to a burglar alarm on Oct. 27 in the 300 block of U.S. Highway 69. Upon arrival, they found the glass door of a business broken out.


Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 25 to a disturbance in the 3800 block of Texoma Parkway. A woman was arrested for public intoxication.


Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Oct. 27 for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of South Woodlawn. A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited weapons and an outstanding Grayson County warrant. A woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Possession — Officers located a man on Oct. 28 at a nightclub in the 600 block of South Mirick. The suspect was arrested for outstanding probation warrants in Collin County and possession of a controlled substance.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Oct. 28 to the report of a disturbance in the 600 block of South Scullin. A man was arrested for public intoxication.


Suspicious vehicle — An officer on patrol located a vehicle on Oct. 29 parked in a local motel parking lot with people inside. A woman was arrested for possession of controlled substance. Another woman was arrested for possession of controlled substance (two counts).


Criminal trespass — An officer responded on Oct. 29 to a woman in the 600 block of East Main. She stated that a man had previously been given a criminal trespass warning to not be on her property, and that he was on her property, and kicked her door. Upon the officer’s arrival, the man was gone. A case will be presented to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office.


Criminal mischief — A complainant stated on Oct. 29 that a suspect damaged the antennae on her vehicle.
