Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call Oct. 21 in reference to a truck striking a parked car in the 800 block of North Harrison Avenue. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined that the man driving the truck was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Solicitation by pedestrian — A suspect was observed on Oct. 20 standing on the side of the road soliciting money from people driving by way near the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Loy Lake Road. The suspect was arrested and taken to Grayson County Jail.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 20 reporting a man passed out in a business parking lot in the 2000 block of South Crockett Street. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Found property — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 20 to the 100 block of West FM 1417 in reference to a report of found property. The property was collected and a report for found property was filed.


Assault — Officers responded on Oct. 20 to an assault victim in the 600 block of East Cherry Street. The victim was assaulted while walking down the street. A report for assault causing bodily injury was generated.


Criminal mischief — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 20 to the 300 block of North Highland Avenue in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon investigation, it was determined that suspects had entered a building and damaged property. The suspects were identified and a report was completed. The case is under investigation.


Credit/debit card abuse — An officer responded on Oct. 20 to a woman’s call for help in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 75. It was reported that a suspect had stolen the woman’s purse and used her credit and debit cards. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.


Theft — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 20 to the 4100 block of Town Center Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon investigation, it was determined that a suspect stole property without paying for it and fled the scene when confronted.


Hinder secured creditors — Officers responded on Oct. 20 to a complaint in the 400 block of Houston Street. They were informed that the buyer of a vehicle was behind on payments. The creditor attempted to repossess the vehicle, but the buyer refused to return the vehicle. A report for hinder secured creditors from $2,500-30,000 was filed. The investigation is ongoing.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 20 reporting suspicious activity in the 1500 block of North Broughton Street. Officers responded and located the an intoxicated man. It was determined that he posed a threat to himself and others and he was arrested for public intoxication.


Assault — An officer responded on Oct. 20 to a woman in the 700 block of East Lamar Street. She stated that her husband pushed her. A report for assault by contact was completed.


Found property — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 20 reporting found property. The property was found to be narcotics. It was placed into evidence at the Sherman Police Department and will be destroyed according to department policy.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 21 to the 2100 block in reference to a person who was asleep in a vehicle. From their investigation it was determined that the suspect was intoxicated and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Disorderly conduct — Dispatch received a complaint on Oct. 21 of an intoxicated man at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Washington Street. The suspect was located and arrested for disorderly conduct with three priors and an outstanding Grayson County warrant.


Public intoxication — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 21 to the 2800 block of Heritage Parkway in reference to a welfare concern. The officer located a man who was intoxicated, walking down the middle of the roadway. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Assault — Officers responded on Oct. 21 to a disturbance in the 300 block of North Heritage Parkway. A report was generated for assault by contact family member.


Criminal mischief — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 21 to report damages in the 700 block of Martin Lane. Upon officers’ arrival, the reporting party showed the damages that had been done. A report for criminal mischief was filed.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 21 to the 1100 block of Thomas Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon their arrival, they spoke with the complainant and determined that an assault had occurred. A report for assault causing bodily injury to a family member was generated.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 21 to report a disturbance in the 2700 block of Texoma Parkway. The man causing the disturbance would not leave. When officers arrived the suspect was determined to be intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
