Sherman Police


Forgery — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 6 to a business in the 200 block of South Dewey Avenue. The reporting party stated that a male suspect passed a forged business check at a business. A report for forgery of a financial instrument was generated.


Criminal mischief — The public safety administrator made contact on Oct. 5 with a female complainant in the 900 block of North Brents in reference to criminal mischief. She stated that a known suspect damaged her property intentionally. A report for criminal mischief was generated.


Theft —An officer responded on Oct. 3 to a male complainant in the 2200 block of East Lamar Street. He stated that a suspect removed a pair of Apple headphones valued at $172 from a backpack. A report for theft from $100-$750 was filed.


Forgery — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 3 in reference to fraud in the 2200 block of East Lamar Street. Upon officers’ arrival, they were advised that a suspect attempted to pay with a fake $100 bill. A report for forgery financial instrument was filed.


Fraud — The public safety administrator made contact on Oct. 3 with a female complainant in the 4100 block of Town Center Street. She stated that a suspect used her personal information to obtain credit cards in her name. A report for fraud was generated.


Burglary — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 3 from the 1100 block of South Montgomery Street. The reporting party stated that a suspect entered her home and stole a Playstation and LG phone. A report for burglary of a habitation was filed.


Forgery — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 3 to a business in the 2300 block of Loy Lake Road. A representative of the business stated that a male suspect made a purchase using forged money. The money was collected and a report for forgery financial instrument was completed. The investigation is ongoing.


Burglary — An officer was dispatched on Oct. 4 to a house under construction in the 1400 block of Fairway Drive. The victim stated that a suspect forced entry into the house and stole building materials. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated.


Burglary — A public service administrator made contact on Oct. 4 with a female complainant in the 3400 block of West Dakota Drive. She stated that a suspect entered her vehicle and stole personal items. A report for burglary of a vehicle was completed.


Possession — An officer conducted a traffic stop on Oct. 4 in the 900 block of Frisco Road. The officer spoke with all occupants in the vehicle and found narcotics inside the vehicle. A report for possession of a controlled substance less than two grams was filed.


Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 8 to the 4800 block of Highgrove Drive in reference to possible criminal mischief. Upon their arrival, they were advised of damage worth approximately $140. A report for criminal mischief from $100-$750 was filed.


Assault — Officers responded on Oct. 6 to a female complainant in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. She stated that her boyfriend assaulted her and then fled the scene. A report for assault family/household member with previous conviction was generated.
