Denison Police


Theft — A male complainant stated on Oct. 4 that a female suspect he knows knocked on his motel room door in the 1600 block of South Austin. When he opened the door, she entered the room, grabbed his shorts off the floor and ran out the door. The victim stated that the shorts had a large amount of money in them. The investigation will continue.


Theft — An officer responded on Oct. 2 to a female complainant in the 1100 block of North Park. She stated that a suspect stole a ladder and some propane tanks from her yard.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 2 to a domestic disturbance that became physical in the 400 block of East Chestnut. A male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence and interference with an emergency call.


Public intoxication — An officer observed a female sitting on the wall of a local business on Oct. 3. The female was arrested for public intoxication.


Altered mental status — Officers and EMS responded on Oct. 3 to a call of a person with altered mental status. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal mischief — A female complainant stated on Oct. 3 that she and a relative got into an argument over some property. She later found some of the tires on her vehicle were very low on air pressure and damage had been done to a lawn mower. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on Oct. 4 to the call of a male suspect jumping over a fence in the 400 block of East Morton. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Driving while license invalid — A vehicle was stopped on Oct. 4 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of West Main. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.


Terroristic threats — A male complainant stated on Oct. 4 that a man he knows made threats to him on Snapchat. The investigation will continue.


Warrant arrest — An officer observed a man walking toward his patrol unit on Oct. 4 and he then turned and walked abruptly away. When the officer spoke with the suspect, he was found to have outstanding Grayson County warrants and an outstanding parole warrant. The suspect was arrested on the outstanding warrants.


Sherman Police


Accident involving damage to vehicle — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 2 from a female complainant in the 300 block of North Heritage Parkway. She stated that a vehicle backed up and struck her vehicle while she was driving to her building. The suspect did not stop to provide information. A report for accident involving damage more than $200 was filed.


Assault — Officers responded on Oct. 2 to a disturbance in the 2900 block of Michelle Drive. A female victim stated that her boyfriend assaulted her by slapping her. A report for assault by contact was generated.


Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Oct. 2 for defective equipment in the 3600 block of Texoma Parkway. The officers located marijuana on the driver. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


Driving while license invalid — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Oct. 2 for an unconfirmed insurance status. The driver had a suspended driver’s license. She was arrested and transported to the Grayson County Jail. A report for driving while license suspended with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility was filed.


Driving while license invalid — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 2 to a minor accident in the 200 block of South Heritage Parkway. The driver of one of the vehicles involved had a suspended license. A report for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/conviction without financial responsibility was filed.


Driving while license invalid — A traffic stop was conducted on Oct. 3 in the 500 block of East Evergreen Street. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license and previous convictions and was arrested.


Accident involving damage — Dispatch received a call on Oct. 3 in reference to a hit and run accident near the 500 block of West Lamar Street. The victim stated that he struck a vehicle that ran a red light. The victim then stopped to provide information, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. A report for accident involving damage to a vehicle less than $200 was generated.


Burglary — An officer made contact on Oct. 3 with a female complainant in the 100 block of North Arapaho. She stated that a suspect had entered her unlocked vehicle parked at her residence during the previous month and taken property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Burglary — Officers were dispatched on Oct. 3 to a business in the 3300 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a burglary. Their investigation revealed that a suspect forced entry into the business and took property. A report for burglary of a business was completed. The investigation is ongoing.
