No one was injured Tuesday after an encounter between two men driving down a Denison alley ended with multiple gunshots fired.

Denison Police Department Lt. Mike Eppler said the shooting occurred in an alley in the 200 block of MacArthur Drive, near the Perrin Estates. Eppler said the two men knew one another and were traveling down the same alley in separate vehicles. When they made contact with one another, Eppler said, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds at the other.

“The victim said that he met a vehicle in the alley and the suspect fired several shots,” Eppler said. “They did not hit the victim and the victim was able to back up and get away. The suspect left the scene.”

Eppler did not identify either man involved in the incident and did not know the type of firearm used in the shooting. He said he believed at least one bullet struck the victim’s vehicle. Eppler said department officers were actively searching for the suspect Tuesday afternoon.

“We know who the suspect is, so we’re currently looking for him,” Eppler said. “The only suspect vehicle information we have is that he was in a dark colored Ford Explorer. We ask that anybody with any information to please call us.”
