Disturbance — Officers responded on Sept. 21 to a disturbance call reporting an intoxicated person in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75. The female subject was intoxicated and indicated she wanted to harm herself, so she was left at the hospital for treatment. At 3 a.m. on Sept. 22, the suspect was ready to be released and was still intoxicated. She was arrested for public intoxication.
Deadly conduct — Officers responded on Sept. 21 to the complaint of a person pointing a handgun at people in the 800 block of West Munson. The complainants stated that a juvenile they knew pointed a handgun at them and they drove off quickly. During the investigation that followed, it was determined that the handgun was a BB gun. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County Juvenile Probation Department.
Parole warrant/possession — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 19 to a local motel to serve a parole warrant. The female suspect was located in a vehicle outside the motel. She was arrested for the outstanding parole warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on Sept. 19 to a call of a man lying in the grass in the 4600 block of Texoma Parkway. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Traffic stop — An officer stopped a vehicle on Sept. 19 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of West Crawford. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance more than four grams.
Public intoxication — Officers responded on Sept. 20 to a disturbance call involving an intoxicated person in the 400 block of West U.S. Highway 75. The female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Welfare concern — An officer responded on Sept. 21 to a female reporting party in the 100 block of West Main. She stated that he 17-year-old son has not been seen since he assaulted a family member. The son has contacted other relatives by telephone and is believed to be in the Dallas Metroplex area.
Traffic stop — A vehicle was stopped on Sept. 21 for a traffic violation in the 300 block of South Scullin. The driver was arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Theft — A male reporting party stated on Sept. 21 that a suspect stole his 16 foot flat bed trailer from his yard in the 600 block of West Sears. The trailer is black and orange camouflage in color and has a wooden bed.
Stolen vehicle — A female victim stated on Sept. 21 that her 2005 Ford Taurus, white in color, was taken from the 300 block of West Texas. She named a possible suspect, and the investigation will continue.
Erratic driver — Officers responded on Sept. 21 to the call of an erratic driver in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of a local store with a male suspect standing beside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication, outstanding city of Denison warrants and possession of a controlled substance.
Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 18 to the 1400 block of South Sam Rayburn Freeway in response to an alarm call. They located damage to the front door, and filed a report for criminal mischief. While patrolling the area, officers located a male suspect fitting the description of the man damaging the front door. A prohibited weapon was found on the suspect’s person. He was arrested for prohibited weapon knuckles.
Theft — An officer responded on Sept. 18 to a male complainant in the 3500 block of Sherbrooke Place. He stated that a newly purchased trailer he had parked in front of his residence had been stolen during the night. A report for theft of property from $750-$2,500 was filed.
Driving while license invalid — An officer conducted school zone traffic enforcement on Sept. 18 in the 1800 block of West Houston Street. The officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered that the female driver had a suspended license with a previous conviction of driving while license invalid. An offense report was completed for the issuance of a warrant for the driver for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension and for showing no financial responsibility.
Assault — Dispatch received a call on Sept. 18 regarding a disturbance in a vehicle in the 2100 block of North Duchess Street. An officer responded and located an assault victim. She stated that the suspect is someone she has dated and that she is pregnant with his child. The suspect could not be located. A report for assault/family violence was generated.
Driving while license invalid — An officer was dispatched on Sept. 18 to a two-vehicle crash in the 5400 block of North Heritage Parkway. One of the drivers was found to have a suspended license with previous convictions and no insurance on the vehicle. An offense report was completed for the issuance of a warrant.
Burglary — An officer responded on Sept. 18 to a victimized couple in the 2400 block of Remuda Drive. The male and female complainants reported that a suspect had entered their garage and stolen a purse out of an unlocked vehicle that was in the garage. The garage door had been mistakenly left open during the night. A report for burglary of a habitation was filed.
Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 18 to the 3100 block of South Carolina Street in reference to criminal mischief. A report was generated.
Assault — Dispatch received a call on Sept. 18 in reference to a disturbance in the 300 block of South Loving Avenue. Upon officer arrival, the suspect in the disturbance stated that she was assaulted. A report was taken for assault causes bodily injury.
Driving while license suspended — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 18 in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license and no insurance. The driver was arrested for driving with license invalid with previous convictions/suspension without financial responsibility.
Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on Sept. 18 to report an intoxicated male in the 900 block of East Lamar Street. Upon officer arrival, the male suspect was located in the driveway leaning against a car. He was intoxicated to the point that he could not stand on his own, and was arrested for public intoxication.
