RICE — Maypearl volleyball remains unbeaten through four district matches after a straight-set win over Rice on Tuesday.

After a close first set, the Lady Panthers made quick work of their hosts, winning 25-16, 25-7 and 25-13.

Madison Ball led the attack with 12 kills, while Marissa Stottlemire had 10 kills, Katie Gann chipped in nine and Peyton Pogue added eight. Kellie Blake and Gann set the table for the three with 17 and 18 assists, respectively.

The Lady Panthers recorded 13 aces during the match, with Stottlemire, Blake and Steelie Ledbetter each firing home three. Ledbetter also broke a team-high 11 serves and added 10 digs, while Ball led the team with 11 digs.

The win moves Maypearl to 18-11 on the season. The Lady Panthers return home to host Mildred on Friday, Sept. 22 for a 4:30 p.m. first serve.
