The Denison City Council will discuss the creation of a program for renovation incentives for existing homes when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday at Denison City Hall. The incentives program comes following ongoing discussions by the city’s housing task force on ways to improve Denison’s existing housing stock.

In addition to the incentive program, the council is expected to finalize and set a $25.31 million budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year and set a property tax rate of 63.3377 cents per $100 of assessed value.

In a closed, executive session, the council will discuss pending litigation regarding 715 W. Sears and pending Denison Development Alliance negotiations and projects.
