A Van Alstyne Independent School District substitute teacher was arrested Monday after she allegedly sent a nude photo of herself to a student.
Kristen Lynn Jackson, 36, was booked into the Grayson County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of distributing harmful material to a minor. Jackson posted a $7,500 surety bond and was released on Monday.
A call seeking comment from Van Alstyne ISD was not immediately returned Tuesday. Van Alstyne Police Chief Tim Barnes said media inquiries regarding the incident were being directed to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant District Attorney Britton Brooks said he couldn’t yet comment on the case.
Jackson retained Micah Belden as her defense attorney. Belden declined to comment on the charge against his client.
