Denison Police


Deadly conduct — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 7 to the 1900 block of West Morton in reference to deadly conduct. A male complainant reported that he and his next door neighbor got into an argument about broken glass in the neighbor’s yard. During the altercation, the neighbor allegedly fired two shots from a handgun into the ground. Officers spoke to the neighbor, who denied firing a handgun.


Burglary — A victim reported on Sept. 7 that a suspect entered his storage building in the 1300 block of Cole Drive and stole numerous tools.


Traffic stop — An officer stopped a vehicle on Sept. 7 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of West Sears. A male occupant in the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants in Lufkin, Texas, failure to identify, and being a fugitive from justice. A female occupant was arrested for outstanding Grayson County warrants, failure to identify, and for being a fugitive from justice.


Traffic stop — An officer stopped a vehicle on Sept. 8 in the 1500 block of South Austin for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Burglary — A female complainant stated on Sept. 8 that a suspect entered her unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of West Day and took her wallet and other items.


Criminal trespass — Officers responded on Sept. 9 to a female complainant in the 100 block of Bob White Road. She stated that an individual to whom she had given a criminal trespass warning came back onto her property and left a letter. The suspect left the property prior to the officers’ arrival. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Assault — A female complainant reported on Sept. 9 that she got into an altercation with an individual who then spit on her. The case has been referred to Municipal Court.


Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 10 in response to a complaint of public intoxication. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary — An officer responded on Sept. 10 to a female complainant in the 1200 block of West Morton. She stated that a suspect entered her residence, possibly through a door, and removed jewelry and cash.


Criminal mischief — A complainant stated on Sept. 11 that a suspect broke out the glass in the office area of a storage facility. A sewer cover was also removed and the electrical breaker to an air conditioning unit was turned off.


Theft — An officer responded on Sept. 11 to a male complainant in the 500 block of West Collins. He stated that a suspect stole several checks and some medication from his residence. Some of the checks have been passed. The complainant named a possible suspect. The investigation will continue.


Theft — A male victim reported on Sept. 11 that a suspect stole his 2017 Honda 125 motorcycle, red in color, from his front porch in the 1300 block of West Bond.


Theft — A male complainant stated on Sept. 11 that a suspect took a portable generator and weedeater from his carport in the 1500 block of West Tone.


Sherman Police


Harassment — An officer was dispatched on Sept. 8 to the 300 block of South Travis Street in reference to a harassment report. An investigation revealed that the victim had been harassed by a known suspect via phone and social media.


Burglary — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 8 to the 900 block of West Houston Street in reference to the burglary of a building, from which several items were taken. A report for burglary of a building was generated.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on Sept. 8 to the 1700 block of Texoma Parkway in response to a fight in progress. Upon their arrival, it was determined that a male and female had been assaulted by two other females. The victims did not have any injuries, but they were offended by the contact. A report for assault by contact was filed.
