Several Denison homeowners escaped injury early Monday morning after someone fired a gun multiple times at their home and vehicle.
A report released by the Denison Police Department said the incident occurred in the 1300 block of West Walker Street at approximately 12:43 a.m. on Monday. Lt. Mike Eppler said at least five .380 caliber shots from a handgun struck the home and a vehicle parked outside. Eppler said one of the residents heard a disturbance outside and found that several of the bullets had actually entered the home.
“One of them said that they heard a noise and when they got to checking, they found some bullet holes in the house and also in the vehicle too,” Eppler said.
The Denison Police lieutenant said he did not know what the motive behind the shooting might be and that the department’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
“We’re still trying to determine what exactly happened and why it happened,” Eppler said.
