Grayson County grand jurors indicted 50-year-old, Carl Duncan, of Antlers, Oklahoma on a charge of murder in connection with a wreck that resulted in his son’s death. The indictment is a formal charge and not an indication of guilt.

Judson Duncan died at the scene of the wreck that occurred after Denison police responded to a call from a local hotel on March 19.

“It was a welfare concern/suspicious person type call that a car had been in the parking lot with guys in it for a couple of nights, and they wanted us to check on them,” Eppler said in a previously published article.

After officers responded and made contact with the men, one of the officers went back to the patrol vehicle to perform routines checks on the individuals, Eppler continued. While the officer was doing the check, the vehicle took off and a pursuit began.

Eppler told the Herald Democrat that the vehicle entered into northbound U.S. Highway 75 and a few minutes later, the vehicle crashed into a barrier on the right shoulder under the State Highway 91 overpass. The vehicle reportedly reached speeds in excess of 100 mph.

Carl Duncan does not have an attorney of record listed on the county website at this time.
