Sherman Police


Forgery — Dispatch received a call on Aug. 2 to report a suspect who was attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at a business in the 2200 block of Texoma Parkway. The suspect left the scene prior to officer arrival. The $50 bill was determined to be counterfeit and was seized. A report for forgery government/national instrument/money/security was filed.


Theft — An officer made telephone contact on July 31 with a female complainant in the 1100 block of North Lockhart Street. She stated that money had been taken from her wallet while she was in her residence. A report for theft was filed.


Burglary — An officer made telephone contact on July 31 with a male complainant in the 300 block of North Chisholm Trail. The victim reported that a suspect had gained entry into his vehicle and removed property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.


Burglary — An officer made contact on July 31 with a female complainant in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue. She stated that a suspect had gained entry into two of her vehicles and removed property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Burglary — A female complainant entered police headquarters on July 31 to report a burglary. She stated that a suspect had gained entry into her vehicle in the 2000 block of South Travis Street and removed property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was completed.


Found property — An officer made contact on Aug. 1 with a female reporting party in reference to found property. She said she had found two wallets in an alleyway within the city limits of Sherman. A report for found property was generated.


Breach of computer security — A citizen reported on Aug. 2 that his Facebook account was hacked. A report was made for online impersonation.


Criminal mischief — An officer made telephone contact on Aug. 2 with a male complainant who stated a suspect damaged a glass door at his residence in the 1000 block of South Rusk Street. A report for criminal mischief was filed.


Criminal mischief — Officers responded on Aug. 2 to a female complainant in the 1200 block of Wells Avenue. She stated that someone had shot the window out of her vehicle. Officers observed that the vehicle had a shattered rear window with a small cylindrical hole consistent with a BB gun pellet. A report for criminal mischief from $100-$750 was generated.


Criminal mischief — An officer made contact on Aug. 2 with a male complainant in the 1700 block of North Grant Drive. The victim stated that a suspect had damaged his mailbox located on the west side of his residence. A report for criminal mischief was completed.


Possession — An officer observed a vehicle on Aug. 3 that was in a park in the 25oo block of West Center Street after hours. The male driver was in possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and transported to Grayson County Jail.


Assault — An officer responded on Aug. 3 to a male complainant in the 1600 block of East King Street. The victim stated that he had been assaulted by another adult male and threatened with a firearm. A report for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was generated.


Denison Police


Outstanding warrants — An officer stopped a vehicle on Aug. 3 for a traffic violation in the 200 block of South Eddy. The male driver was arrested for outstanding city of Denison and Grayson County warrants.


Criminal trespass — Officers responded on Aug. 3 to a call from a complainant on Pershing Drive. It was reported that a suspect refused to leave the complainant’s property. The suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.


Forgery — An officer responded on Aug. 3 to a forgery complaint in the 600 block of Sears. The female complainant reported that a suspect took out a loan in her name. Officers are following leads.


Assault — An officer responded on Aug. 3 to a male complainant in the 1400 block of South Travis. He stated that his wife assaulted him by hitting him with a large rock, and that she also damaged a vehicle at the location. The suspect fled the scene before the officer’s arrival. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on Aug. 3 to a disturbance in the 900 block of West Murray. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Driving while license invalid — An officer stopped a vehicle on Aug. 3 for a traffic violation in the 3300 block of Eisenhower Parkway. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid/enhanced and for speeding after refusing to sign a promise to appear.
