Sherman Police


Disorderly conduct — A miscellaneous call was received on July 28 in reference to abusive language. The victim stated that a suspect had cussed at her several days prior. A report for disorderly conduct language was generated.


Harassment — An officer made contact on July 28 with a female complainant in the 300 block of Heritage Parkway. She reported that she had received threatening text messages. A report for harassment was filed.


Assault — An officer responded on July 28 to two assault victims in the 500 block of North Harrison Street. They reported being in a verbal altercation with the suspect. During the argument, the suspect assaulted both victims. Reports for assault causing bodily injury to a family member were filed.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on July 28 in reference to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Texoma Parkway. The victim stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her. A report for assault by contact on a family member was generated.


Assault — An officer responded on July 28 to a male complainant in the 900 block of South Hub Street. He stated that his older brother choked him during an argument with his hands and arms until he could not breathe. A report for assault on a family member impeding breath was filed.


Theft — An officer and public safety assistant were dispatched on July 28 to the 1900 block of Elizabeth Avenue in reference to a theft. It was reported that materials with a value over $2,500 had been stolen from a construction site. A report for theft from $2,500-$30,000 was generated.


Assault — A female entered police headquarters on July 28 to report being assaulted by her live in boyfriend in the 4400 block of Hawk Lane, two days previous. A report for assault causing bodily injury to a family member was filed.


Burglary — An officer responded on July 28 to a female complainant in the 600 block of North Holly Avenue. She reported that a male suspect entered two vehicles at her residence and looked through compartments in the vehicles. Security footage was observed, and a report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on July 28 to a call reporting an intoxicated driver. The vehicle was stopped in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway and a field sobriety test was administered. The driver was then arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, third offense or more.


Possession — Officers were dispatched on July 29 in reference to a bag of marijuana found at a business in the 2200 block of North Heritage Parkway. They spoke with the manager of the business, who turned the marijuana over to police. A report for possession of marijuana less than two ounces was generated.


Burglary — An officer was dispatched on July 29 to a business in the 200 block of South Sam Rayburn Freeway. It was reported that a suspect had broken the glass on the front door, entered the business and stolen property. A report for burglary was filed.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on July 29 to the 2000 block of East Alma Avenue in reference to a disturbance. The victim reported having been assaulted by a suspect about one week earlier. A report for assault by contact was generated.


Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched on July 29 to the 2000 block of East Alma Avenue, in reference to a disturbance. During an argument, a suspect punched and damaged the victim’s mailbox. A report for criminal mischief was filed.


Criminal mischief — An officer was dispatched on July 29 to a business in the 500 block of South Walnut Street. The glass in the front door had been shattered sometime during the night. A report for criminal mischief less than $100 was generated.


Burglary — An officer responded on July 29 to a male complainant in the 1000 block of East Wells Avenue. The victim stated that someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and stolen money. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Burglary —An officer was dispatched on July 29 to the 400 block of West Olive Street in reference to a burglary. The victim reported that forced entry had been made into his residence and electronic items were taken. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated.


Burglary — An officer responded on July 29 to a male complainant in the 1000 block of East Wells Street. The victim stated that someone stole money from his unlocked vehicle. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Burglary — An officer spoke to a complainant on July 29 in reference to the theft of an air conditioner from a residence in the 1200 block of East Cherry Street. A report for burglary of a building was generated.


Striking unattended vehicle — Officers responded on July 29 to a female complainant in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. She stated that her vehicle was hit while it was sitting in the parking lot of a business. There were witnesses on scene who provided information about the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
