Sherman Police


Disorderly conduct — Dispatch received a call on July 25 from a female complainant who reported that a naked male was walking in the 5800 block of North U.S. Highway 75. She stated that she was alarmed that he was walking along a busy highway. The male was located and arrested for disorderly conduct exposing.


Theft — Officers responded on July 25 to a female complainant in the 1100 block of East Thomas Street. She stated that a suspect stole her phone from her house. A report for theft was generated.


Burglary — Dispatch received a call on July 25 in reference to a theft in the 900 block of Blanton Drive. Upon officer arrival, the caller reported that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and stolen items. A report for burglary of a vehicle was completed.


Unauthorized use of vehicle — An officer responded on July 25 to a female complainant in the 1800 block of Crescent Drive. She stated that she took her vehicle to a friend to be repaired. The friend loaned out the vehicle to a person the owner did not know. The other person never returned the vehicle. A report for unauthorized use of a vehicle was completed.


Possession — An officer stopped a vehicle on July 27 in the 1800 block of North U.S. Highway 75 for disregarding a traffic control device. The department’s K-9 officer alerted on the vehicle and contraband was found inside it. A report for possession of marijuana less than two ounces was filed.


Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched on July 26 to a business in the 1700 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to criminal trespass. An investigation revealed that a suspect had trespassed on the property. The suspect was identified and located near the business. The suspect was found to have a criminal trespass warning for the property and was arrested for criminal trespass.


Reckless damage — Officers responded on July 26 to a complaint from the 3200 block of Northpoint Drive in reference to damage to a mailbox. It was determined that the victim’s mailbox sustained minimal damage, and was believed to have been struck by a construction crew in the area. A report for reckless damage was generated.


Theft — An officer responded on July 26 to a male complainant in the 900 block of East U.S. Highway 82. He stated that a suspect stole his vehicle from a parking lot. A report for theft was generated and the investigation is ongoing.


Found property — An officer was dispatched on July 26 in reference to a bicycle found in the 1800 block of Yarborough Drive. The property owner stated that a 20 inch bicycle had been sitting on his property for the past six to eight weeks. The bike was seized for safekeeping and a report for found property was filed.


Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched on July 26 to the 4800 block of Timberview in reference to a possible burglary. Upon officer arrival, the male victim reported that his apartment had been broken into. Nothing was missing but items were out of place. A report for criminal trespass was generated.


Fraud — A male entered the police department on July 27 to report identity theft. He stated that someone had used his identifying information to open four separate accounts. A report for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information was filed.


Assault — An officer responded on July 27 to a female complainant in the 400 block of Iowa Street. She stated that her roommate and her roommate’s boyfriend engaged in a physical altercation. The boyfriend threw a glass bottle at the roommate, which hit the floor, shattered and cut the roommate. He then fled. A report for assault family/household member with a previous conviction was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.


Found property — A male entered the police department on July 27 to turn in a debit card that was found in the 200 block of North Travis Street. The owner of the card was contacted, and a report for found property was generated.


Denison Police


Assault — An officer responded on July 26 to a family disturbance in the 700 block of West Day. A female victim reported that she was slapped and choked by her husband because she was not at work. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence/impeding breath. The victim requested an emergency protective order against the suspect.


Burglary — A victim reported on July 27 that a suspect entered his garage in the 2300 block of South Lang and took two weedeaters, a leaf blower, a come along and some chain. The investigation is ongoing.


DWI/Open container — Dispatch received a call on July 27 reporting an unresponsive female in a vehicle in the drive-thru of a restaurant in the 1100 block of South Austin. Officers responded and arrested the suspect for driving while intoxicated with open container.
