Denison Police


Theft — Store personnel reported on July 20 that a female suspect took merchandise from inside the store and went past the last point of sale without paying for the merchandise. When approached by store personnel, the suspect tried to leave in her vehicle, but it would not start. She then fled on foot. The investigation will continue.


Burglary — A male complainant reported on July 19 that he was working on a residence in the 900 block of West Munson. While he was a lunch, someone stole tools from inside the residence. Officers are following up on leads.


Theft — Store personnel reported on July 19 that a female suspect selected merchandise in a store located in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. She then went past the last point of sale without paying for the merchandise. The identity of the suspect is known, and a case will be filed with the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Theft — A complainant reported on July 20 that property was stolen from a home under construction in the 3700 block of Primrose Court. Items taken include copper condensation lines, electrical wiring, and shingles.


Theft — Store personnel reported on July 20 that a female suspect took merchandise from the shelf and went to the service desk and obtained a refund. When confronted by store personnel, the suspect left in a vehicle. The investigation will continue.


Assault — A male reporting party stated on July 20 that he had been in an ongoing feud with a neighbor in the 2400 block of Sunset. He reported that the neighbor had made threats against him. The case has been referred to municipal court.


Sherman Police


Burglary — Officers responded on July 20 to a male complainant in the 1700 block of Alexander Street. He stated that he was in the process of moving and had moved property into the garage. Suspects gained entry into the residence and stole property from the garage. A report for burglary of a habitation was filed.


Burglary — An officer responded on July 19 to an alarm in the 4400 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon arrival, he found forced entry into the building. The area was searched, but no suspect was located. Several items were stolen from inside. Evidence was located on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.


Assault — Dispatch received a call on July 19 in reference to an assault in the 2600 block of North U.S. Highway 75 northbound. The female victim stated that a male suspect had assaulted her. The suspect admitted having done so and was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.


Burglary — Officers responded on July 19 to a male complainant in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. He reported that a debit card and several other items were taken from his room. No signs of forced entry were observed. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated.


Theft — An officer made contact on July 19 with a male reporting party in the 2500 block of West Center Street. He stated that a suspect removed a trailer from behind his residence. A report for theft was filed.


Assault — Officers were dispatched on July 19 to a disturbance in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon arrival, it was found that a victim had been assaulted by a female causing bodily injury. A report was filed for assault causing bodily injury, and the investigation is ongoing.


Found property — Dispatch received a call on July 19 from a male who found a wallet in his front yard in the 1400 block of West Crescent Street. An officer was dispatched to that location, and he took possession of the wallet. An attempt to locate the owner was unsuccessful. A report was generated for found property.


Theft — An officer responded on July 20 to a female complainant in the 4900 block of Timberview Drive. She reported that her cellphone had been stolen. A report for theft was filed.


Theft — An officer was dispatched on July 20 to the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a theft. A male complainant reported that a female suspect had stolen he vehicle approximately three weeks before the date of his complaint. A report was generated for theft between $750 and $2,500.


Criminal mischief — Officers responded on July 20 to a male complainant in the 4800 block of Timberview Drive. He stated that approximately $100 worth of damage had been done to his vehicle during the night. A report for criminal mischief less than $100 was filed.


Assault — An officer was dispatched on July 20 to a disturbance in the 3000 block of North U.S. Highway 75. A female reported that her boyfriend punched her in the nose. A report for assault causing bodily injury to a family member was filed.


Burglary — An officer made telephone contact on July 20 with a male complainant in the 600 block of Denton Drive. He stated that a suspect had gained entry into his vehicle sometime during the night. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Theft — An officer responded on July 20 to a male complainant in the 2600 block of West Center Street. He stated that building materials had been stolen, and a report for theft was generated.


Assault — A female entered the police department lobby on July 20 to report an assault in the 1300 block of Kessler Boulevard. She stated her common-law husband assaulted her on July 17. A similar incident was reported on June 14 involving the same parties. A report for continuous violence against the family was filed and forwarded to the criminal investigations division.


Criminal trespass — An officer responded on July 20 to a female complainant in the 1200 block of West Taylor Street. She stated that a suspect entered her apartment while she was gone and rummaged through her property, with nothing being taken. A report for criminal trespass of a habitation was filed.
