Denison Police


Burglary — A complainant reported on July 14 that 60 bundles of shingles, several appliances and other fixtures were stolen from the 3000 block of Loy Lake Road. The investigation is ongoing.


Theft — A reporting party stated on July 14 that some power tools had been taken in the 500 block of West Main. Officers are following up on leads.


Assault — An officer responded on July 14 to a female complainant in the 1500 block of West Texas. She stated that her boyfriend assaulted her several times and then fled when told that police were on their way. A case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office.


Welfare concern — Officers responded on July 14 to a call of a welfare concern. A male suspect was arrested for pedestrian in the roadway.


Public intoxication — A male bicycle rider was stopped on July 14 for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of West Bond. He was then arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal mischief — An officer responded on July 15 to a female complainant in the 2100 block of West Bond. She stated that a suspect had broken out two windows in her vehicle. Leads are being followed up on.


Burglary — A female complainant reported on July 15 that two window unit air conditioners were stolen from her home in the 500 block of West Owings. An investigation will continue.


Disorderly conduct — Officers were dispatched on July 15 to a disturbance call in the 4900 block of Texoma Parkway. A male suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.


Public intoxication — Officers observed on July 15 a man sleeping on the ground in the 800 block of North Armstrong. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on July 15 to a call about an intoxicated person in the 1100 block of South Austin. The suspect was observed driving onto the parking lot of a local restaurant and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Public intoxication — Officers were dispatched on July 16 to the 500 block of North Barrett where a female was yelling and swinging a shovel. No one was struck with the shovel, and the suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Theft — An officer responded on July 16 to a female complainant in the 500 block of West Gandy. She stated that a suspect stole a bicycle from her back porch and damaged her privacy fence in the process. The investigation will continue.


Driving under the influence/minor — A vehicle was stopped on July 16 for a traffic violation in the 3100 block of Crawford Street. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence/minor and having no operator’s license.


Burglary — Officers responded on July 17 to an alarm call at a convenience store in the 2600 block of Loy Lake Road. Their investigation revealed broken door glass with numerous tobacco products missing. Leads are being followed up on.
