Grand jurors this week indicted a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old from Sherman on charges related to a wreck that cost a young woman her leg.


Joshua Haliburton and Tripp Bird were each indicted on charges of accident involving serious bodily injury and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The indictments are formal charges and are not considered evidence of guilt.


Previously published reports show that police contend Haliburton and Bird were involved in a wreck on July 29, 2016 in which Jennifer Russell was injured. The crash occurred on FM 691 near La Cima Road.

• Joshua Reardon, 37, of Colbert, Oklahoma — evading arrest with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence;


• Christopher Holt, 31, of Bonham — tampering with physical evidence;


• Shawn Forrester, 42, of Denison — unauthorized use of a motor vehicle;


• Jeremy Whitley, 38, of Denison — driving while intoxicated third or more;


• Timothy Wilks, 19, of Denison — credit card abuse;
