The Denison City Council is expected to discuss a $1.08 million contract with Pittard Construction for a series of sewer line replacement projects when it meets Monday at 6 p.m. at Denison City Hall.
In 2008, the city entered into a 10-year agreement with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding 10 wastewater and sewer line projects. Thus far, the city has completed three of these projects. This contract will cover four of the remaining seven projects and will be financed using funds from the 2016-2017 fiscal year budget.
Following the open session, the city council will enter into a closed, executive session to discuss pending litigation regarding 715 W. Sears and Boatright v. city of Denison.
Other items that will be considered include:
• a rejection of Oncor Electric Delivery Company’s application to change rates within Denison and a request to have Denison’s rate case expenses reimbursed by Oncor;
• an contract with GXA Networks for third-party Information Technology services;
• a resolution adopting a new city seal; and
• an ordinance amending planning and development fees and establishing a public infrastructure fee.
