Sherman Police


Theft — An officer made telephone contact on July 11 with a female complainant in the 700 block of Patricia Street. She stated that a lawnmower had been taken from her yard where it was being used.


Burglary — Officers were dispatched on July 11 to a business in the 4400 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, they found the business had been burglarized. Evidence was collected and a report for burglary of a business was filed.


Theft — An officer made telephone contact on July 11 with a male complainant in the 4100 block of Town Center Street. He reported that a suspect removed a checkbook from his pocket on July 8. A report for theft was generated.


Burglary — An officer made telephone contact on July 11 with a male complainant in the 1400 block of West Shields Street. He stated that a suspect gained entry into his unlocked vehicle and removed property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.


Found property — A male citizen turned in several items of found property on July 11. A report was generated for found property.


Theft — Officers responded on July 11 to a male complainant in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 82. He reported that a theft had taken place. The officers conducted an investigation and filed a report for theft of property less than $100.


Forgery — An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of North Music Street. It was reported that a fake $20 bill had been passed. A report for forgery government/national instrument/money/security was completed.


Possession — An officer conducted a traffic stop on July 11 in the 1000 block of East Chaffin Street. An investigation revealed that the female driver had two warrants for her arrest and was in possession of marijuana. She was arrested for those offenses.
