Denison Police


Assault — Three victims reported on June 28 that an intoxicated occupant in their vehicle assaulted them and made them get out of the vehicle in the 2000 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The suspect then drove away leaving the victims on the side of the road.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on June 26 to an accident in the 900 block of North Tone Street. A female driver with a child passenger was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Possession — Officers stopped a vehicle on June 26 for a traffic violation in the 3300 block of West FM 120. A male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.


Driving while license invalid — A vehicle was stopped on June 27 for a traffic violation in the 3400 block of Eisenhower Parkway. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid with a previous conviction.


Driving while intoxicated — A vehicle was stopped on June 28 for a traffic violation at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and State Highway 91. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on June 28 to the welfare concern of a man in the 1700 block of South Armstrong Street. The suspect was observed walking in the middle of the street and was arrested for public intoxication.


Assault — An officer responded on June 28 to a female complainant in the 400 block of West Acheson Street. She stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend after being out with friends several hours prior to making the report. A case for assault causing bodily injury/family victim was forwarded to the Grayson County Attorney’s office.


Criminal mischief — A female complainant reported on June 28 that an unknown suspect broke two windows out of her son’s vehicle by throwing bricks at them.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on July 29 for a traffic violation in the 100 block of West Heron Street. The driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Theft — An officer responded on June 29 to a male complainant in the 1800 block of South Mirick Street. He stated that several tools were removed from a shop in his back yard named a suspect.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on June 29 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of State Highway 69 East. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and an outstanding Grayson County warrant.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on June 29 for a traffic violation in the 400 block of West Morgan Street. The female driver was arrested for no signal of intent, failure to change address on a driver’s license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Counterfeit — A complainant stated on June 29 that an employee in the 2400 block of South Austin Street was given a counterfeit $100 bill for the purchase of some food.


Sherman Police


Burglary — An officer responded on June 29 to a male complainant in the 2000 block of South Sam Rayburn Freeway. He stated that several televisions were stolen from a business. A report for burglary was filed.


Burglary — Officers were dispatched on June 28 to a business in the 4500 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon arrival, they found that a business had been burglarized. The investigation is ongoing.


Possession — An officer responded on June 29 in reference to a suspicious person in the 600 block of South Colbert Street. The officer located the suspect, who had discarded drug paraphernalia, walking in the 500 block of South Wanda Drive. The paraphernalia was collected as evidence, and a report for possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram was filed.


Theft — An officer was dispatched on June 29 to the 3000 block of Northridge Drive in reference to a possible theft. In speaking with the victim and a witness, it was learned that the witness had let a suspect inside the house. The suspect then stole several items. A report for theft from $750 to $2,500 was filed.


Found property — A male entered the lobby of the police department on June 29 and turned in personal items that had been found in the 1900 block of East Lamar Street. A report for found property was filed.
