Possession of a controlled substance— A search warrant was executed on a hotel room located in the 5000 block of South U.S. Highway 75 in Denison. The search warrant pertained to an unrelated investigation. While searching the room, officers located a bag inside the room containing a glass smoking pipe and a crystalline substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Other items were found with the illegal drugs and paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft — An officer made telephone contact on May 11 with a female in reference to a theft. A suspect removed $400 from the complainant’s wallet in her residence in the 1000 block of Pecan Street on May 10. A report for theft was generated.
Terroristic threat — A business owner in the 2200 block of North Heritage Parkway made a report on May 11 of a terroristric threat causing fear of imminent severe bodily injury.
Burglary — An officer responded on May 11 to the 1600 block of Ann Street in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. A suspect made entry into the vehicle without consent and stole property. A report was made.
Burglary — An officer responded to the 1500 block of North Ross Street on May 11 in reference to a residence having been burglarized. Several electronic and sporting items where reported missing. A report for burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm was generated.
Theft — An officer responded on May 12 to a male who reported theft in a store located in the 3900 block of U.S. Highway 75. A suspect selected various items, took them into a fitting room and then exited the store without paying for the items. A report for theft was generated.
Burglary — An officer responded to a female complainant on May 12 . A suspect gained entry into her vehicle that was parked at her residence in the 400 block of West Dexter Street between May 11 and May 12. Several items were taken, and a report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.
Assault — Officers responded on May 12 to the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to an assault on May 11. The complainant stated that a suspect spit in his face, and a report was generated for assault by contact.
Possession — Officers arrested a suspect on May 12 on a warrant charge in the 3000 block of Texoma Parkway. Marijuana was located in the suspect’s pocket, and he was charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Burglary — A officer responded on May 12 to the 1900 block of West Alexander Street. It was determined that a suspect broke into a vehicle and stole property. The case is under investigation.
Theft — Officers responded on May 12 to a large fight in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. A person reported that he dropped his phone, and a suspect took it and ran. A report was filed for theft of property $100-$750.
Disturbance — An officer responded on May 12 to a female who reported someone beating on the door and window of her residence in the 1200 block of West Taylor Street. The complainant’s boyfriend, who was intoxicated and attempting to enter the apartment, was arrested for loud disturbing unnecessary noise.
Assault — Officers responded on May 13 to a fight in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. A female stated that she had been assaulted by two other females. A report for assault was filed.
Theft — An officer responded on May 13 to a complaint of a stolen license plate in the 300 block of Archer Drive. It was determined that the rear license plate had been stolen from a parked vehicle, and a report for theft less than $100 was filed.
Credit card abuse — A male entered the police department on May 13 stating that someone had made fraudulent charges on his credit card. A report for credit card or debit card abuse was filed.
Possession — An officer responded on May 13 to the 200 block of East Houston Street regarding a suspicious package containing narcotics. A report for possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds was completed, and the investigation is ongoing.
Theft — An officer spoke on May 13 to a female in the 2300 block of North Lockhart Street, who reported a theft. She said a package was delivered to the wrong address and is now missing. A report for theft of property less than $100 was filed.
Found property — An officer responded to a call in the 3100 block of North U.S. Highway 75. An employee stated that a ring had been found in the parking lot. A report for found property was filed.
Burglary — Dispatch received a call on May 13 stating that the burglary of a residence had occurred in the 2700 block of West Travis. The complainant stated that he had left the residence and upon returning found his door had been kicked in. Several items were taken, and a report for burglary of a habitation was filed.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop in the 1900 block of West U.S. Highway 82 west bound was conducted on May 14. During the stop, a driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Theft — Officers responded on May 14 to a report of theft in the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 82. A male was arrested for concealing several items without paying for them and was charged with theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions.
Evading Arrest — Dispatch received a complaint on May 15 that a suspect had attempted to hit a resident with a motor vehicle in the 500 block of East Cottage Street. When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect fled, with officers in pursuit. Identity of the suspect was established, and the pursuit was terminated. A report for evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle was filed.
