The Denison City Council will discuss a grant application through the Texas Department of Transportation to fund the Katy Trail project when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday at Denison City Hall. The proposed walking trail would follow the former right of way through of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad through the city.


The project is expected to cost about $607,000 for the first phase of development, with $139,000 provided through the TxDOT grant.


Other items that will be considered include:


• a hearing on the annexation of 11 acres land generally located south of Davy Lane, East of Harvey Lane and West of FM Highway 131;


• a report on unsafe conditions 11 Cynthia, 504 E. Day and 1230 W. Morgan;


• a proposed 380 agreement with Holley Jolly Homes; and


• an ordinance authorizing the issuance of $3 million of debt related to the construction of Texoma Health Foundation Park.
