Burglary — The Sherman Police Department received a call on May 6 in reference to an alarm call from La Michoacana Meat Market in the 1000 block of North Travis Street. Upon arrival, the front door of the building was pried open and the inside offices were burglarized. There was only money taken, and surveillance footage was obtained. An offense report was generated for burglary of a building.
Found property — Sherman Police made contact on May 5 with a male reporting party in the lobby of the Sherman Police Department in reference to found property. The reporting party is the owner of a local landscaping business. While working in the 1000 block of Leslie Avenue, the reporting party found a black wallet and contents. Also found at the same location was a Texas driver’s license, debit card and Sam’s Club Membership Card. The property was submitted to the Sherman Police Department as found property. A report was generated.
Organized retail theft — A business in the 2200 block of North Heritage Parkway made a report on May 5 for organized retail theft between $750-$2,500 enhanced.
Theft — An officer responded on May 5 to a business in the 3300 block of Versaille Drive in reference to a stolen cellular phone. A report for theft of property $100-$750 was generated.
Assault — Sherman dispatch spoke on May 5 with a female in the lobby of the Sherman Police Department. An officer arrived at the Sherman Police Department and spoke with the female, who said a male assaulted her at her home. A report was generated for assault by contact to a family member.
Aggravated assault — Sherman dispatch received a call on May 5 from a female who said she was afraid to go home due to fear of her boyfriend harming her. The female was advised to travel to the Sherman Police Department but did not do as told. The officer traveled to her residence in the 1000 block of West Belden Street and spoke with the caller. A report was generated for aggravated assault of a date/family/household member with a weapon.
Burglary — Sherman dispatch received a call on May 6 from a male. He said his vehicle was burglarized outside his home in the 2100 block of Sherbrooke Court. Officers arrived on scene and a report was generated. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft — A citizen came on May 7 to the Sherman Police Department to report her cellphone stolen. The victim claimed she left her phone in a restroom and when she went back to get the phone, it was gone. A report was generated for theft of property between $100-$750.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on May 7 in the 3200 block of North U.S. Highway 75 east control road. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
