The story of the tragic end to the life of a 2013 graduate of Sherman High School will play out on television tonight.
Investigation Discovery will air the story of Kimberly (KJ) Dunnachie’s death at the hands of her stepmother Veronica Dunnachie in December of 2014. The show that features the family’s tragedy is called “Evil Stepmothers.” The program is set to air at 9 p.m. on channel 112 on Cable One in Sherman.
Miss Dunnachie was at the home her father, Russ, shared with Veronica Dunnachie and their children when Veronica Dunnachie shot and killed them both. Veronica Dunnachie didn’t harm her own children.
Ms. Dunnachie, 20, whose mother Diana Gillum, is an ESL/bilingual aide at Fairview Elementary in Sherman and whose stepfather, Mike Gillum is a physical education teacher at the school, was “in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Mike Gillum told the Herald Democrat back in 2014.
The Star-Telegram said in a Feb. 12, 2016 story that Veronica Dunnachie, 36, pleaded guilty to shooting her husband and his daughter to death and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
