Sherman Police are asking for help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a Sherman gas station while armed with a knife early Monday morning.

At about 12:43 a.m., an employee of the Shell gas station at 3100 N. U.S. Highway 75 called police reporting that a man with a knifed robbed the business then fled the scene. Sherman Police Sgt. D.M. Hampton said he did not have a description of the knife, but the suspect displayed the weapon then demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled. No one was injured.

Police described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall, white male wearing a neon green Under Armour hoodie, jeans and cowboy boots.

According to a police news release, officers discovered the man fled in a silver Ford Focus. The robbed gas station is located near Wal-Mart, so Wal-Mart surveillance footage showed the suspect vehicle travel west behind the store.
