Burglary — An officer was dispatched on April 18 to the 1200 block of East Jones Street in regards to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who said someone broke into the residence and stole an Xbox One and an Xbox One controller. A burglary of a habitation report was generated.
Assault — Dispatch received a call on April 17 about a fight at a business in the 2700 block North U.S. Highway 75. Two males were engaged in a physical altercation while inside the business. After reviewing the camera footage it was determined only one of the males hit the other. A report for assault causing bodily injury was completed.
Criminal mischief — An officer was dispatched on April 18 to the 100 block of Vietnam Veterans Parkway in regards to a possible criminal mischief. An officer spoke with the victim who said he witnessed someone kick the passenger side of his truck. A criminal mischief $100 to $750 report was generated.
Burglary — An officer made telephone contact on April 18 with a female complainant in reference to a suspect gaining entry into the complainant’s vehicle sometime on April 17. At the time the incident occurred, the vehicle was parked in the 3500 block of Town Center. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect removed a gray, cloth bag that contained documents, appointment books, currency and keys. At the time the incident occurred, the complainant believes the vehicle was locked however, there were no signs of forced entry. Nothing else was taken from the interior of the vehicle. A report for burglary of vehicle was generated.
Criminal mischief — An officer made telephone contact on April 18 with a female reporting party in reference to a suspect damaging property inside a motel room located in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway sometime between April 11-18. A report for criminal mischief was generated.
Assault — An officer was dispatched on April 18 to a disturbance in the 800 block of South Travis Street. The victim reported that her husband assaulted her and evidence at the scene supported her allegation. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member and booked into the Grayson County Jail.
Burglary — Sherman Police dispatch received a call on April 18 of a theft in the 200 block of South Dewey Avenue. Upon officers arrival, the caller said a vehicle was broken into and items were taken. A theft report was generated.
Theft — Sherman Police officers spoke on April 18 with a victim in reference to a theft. The victim stated a known male was granted access into his home and once inside, the male stole several items. A report for theft of property between $750-$2,500 was taken.
Criminal mischief — Sherman Police officers were dispatched on April 18 to the 1600 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the suspect who was highly intoxicated. He was inside a room which was not his and refused to leave. The suspect was arrested for criminal trespass of a habitat/shelter, superfund/infrastructure.
