Monday afternoon, jurors were seated in the 59th state district court to hear the case of Jorge Geovany Hernandez.
Hernandez, 32, is charged with five counts of sexually abusing a child. He has pleaded not guilty to one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 years old, two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and two counts of indecency with a child sexual contact.
Hernandez has been on an Immigration and Naturalization Service hold at the Grayson County Jail since December 2015. He is represented by Dallas attorney James N. Vasilas. Assistant District Attorney Britton Brooks is prosecuting the case for the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.
Judge Rayburn Nall will preside over the case, which will start Tuesday morning.
